Twice As Far

The next morning Carl and I were up early because we had to move the furniture back before they got home. When they did finally get back we stood on the porch. I held Judith as Rick came up and smiled taking her from me. "Daryl wants to talk to you" Rick said and I nodded bounding down the steps to see Dayrl, and smiled at him. "Whats up TB?" I asked and he chuckled. "Got you somethin" He said and pulled out a bow. "This is sweet" I said taking it. "You know how to use it?" He asked and I chuckled "I think I can teach myself how" I smiled widely as he had a thing full of arrows to. "Give me like an hour and we can go out and try it" Daryl told me and I nodded taking it from him.

I went back in the house and up to Carl and I's room. "Hey beautiful" I heard and turned smiling at Carl. "Wanna help?" He asked holding up a bandage. I smiled "Really?" I asked and he nodded. "Course." I parted Carl's hair and used my hair tie to hold it back. "You know that song you sing to Judy to help her calm down?" Carl asked and I nodded, "Yeah?" Carl smiled at me "Do you remember that song my mom would hum to us back in the day?" I just smiled and said "Yeah. I do." I un did the bandages and went to take the one off his eye when he grabbed my wrist softly. "Love. I could never judge you.. You've seen me naked" I said and he gulped. "Alright, go on." I took off the one over his eye. I smiled and lightly kissed it. I then cleaned it up and rewrapped it. Letting his hair down Carl smiled at me before kissing my lips. "I love you" he said and I chuckled. "I love you too"

A throat was cleared and we turned to see Daryl smirking in our doorway. "Chlo. I gotta run, but I'll be back later on" I nodded. "I understand." He smirked at us again before leaving. Waiting a few seconds Carl then stood up "We need more" He said and I looked at him holding up a ripped condom package. "I'll handle it" I said and smiled as he threw it in our trash.

Walking from the house I went straight to Maggie and Glenn's. "Maggs? I asked poking my head in. "Hey Chloe" Glenn called out and I came in fully. "Shes in the bathroom" Glenn said and I nodded coming over to sit at their kitchen counter. Maggie finally came out and I smiled. "Hey you." Maggie said. "Wait" she called out and turned running off before coming back with a picture. She set it on the counter and I instantly recognize it as an ultrasound picture. "Oh my god" I said snatching it up to look at it. "Is this..?" I trailed off and Maggie nodded smiling. "Oh my god!" I cheered and jumped to my feet running over to her and hugging her. Maggie laughed and hugged me back. Letting me go I rushed over and hugged Glenn. Glenn smiled and hugged me back. Maggie and I sat at the counter and I waited for Glenn to go to the bathroom, before I said "Mags. I need to tell you something. Don't freak out, but I need some condoms" I told her and she gave me a look.

"Mmhmm. I see" She said and Glenn came back in. Maggie winked at me and left the room going up the stairs, before coming down and putting it on the counter. "Wait are you and Carl.."Glenn trailed off laughing. I shrugged and grabbed them "Thanks Maggie" i said smiling. Maggie hit Glenn's arm so he'd stop laughing. "They love each other, and at least they're using protection right Chloe?" she asked and I nodded holding up the box. "Course!" I put the box in my bag, as Maggie said "Make sure it's on right we don't need little Carl and Chloe's running around here just yet" I giggled and said "Mags, Hershel gave us the talk when we first shared a bed." Maggie chuckled and nodded. "When did you guys think it was the time to start having sex?" I asked and Maggie looked at Glenn who just sputtered "Uh..uh..uh" I giggled and said "You know what they say.. If you can't talk about it you shouldn't be having it" I winked at Glenn before hugging my sister again. "I love you. I can't believe I'm gonna get a baby niece or nephew!" Maggie hugged me back and chuckled. "I love you too"

I left Glenn and Maggie's going back to the house and up to my room to find Carl sitting there reading a comic. He looked at me and I closed the door behind me before reaching into my bag and tossing the box at him. Carl looked at it and laughed "Whered you get these?" I just laughed, and winked before leaving the room.

I heard a drawer close as Carl ran out after me. "Lets go for a walk" I said and he chuckled taking his hand in mine. We run down the stairs where Rick stops us. "Where are you two going?" He asked and I smiled "Just a walk then to a another house so he can do his PT because if I have to hear that ball hit the wall anymore Imma kill him" I said and Rick laughed. "Alright be back when it gets dark out we have to talk" We both nodded before we left the house. We walked down the street with our hands in each others.

Later that night I sat on the steps of the house as Dayrl explained to me what happened, and why Denise was brought back with an arrow in her eye. "So, basically I was right" I said and he nodded. "I don't want to be right" I said with tears in my eyes. Dayrl put a hand under my chin before having me look at him. "It's okay alright? You're not going to get hurt again." I nodded and he pulled me in to a hug.
