Do Not Send Us Astray//Battle of The Hiltop

I crouched behind a random truck bed, as I waited for the signal. "NOW" Maggie yelled. Ironically, that was the signal,  I leaned up and held the trigger down, as bullets came out of my automatic. I released the trigger, as I ducked back down. I then leaned back up and shot some more. I ducked back down, as an arrow came flying just an inch of actually piercing my skull. I gasped to myself and moved before shooting at the archers.

I then saw the familiar face of Oscar, and aimed before shooting him right in the head. Take that mother fucker. "Chloe!" Enid yelled out, and I kept shooting, as she came up next to me, and crouched down. "Maggie gave the signal! We have to go!" She yelled over the gunfire. "Not until they're dead. Not until he's dead." I said and continued to shoot. "We have to go" She said tugging me down, as my gun clicked. I just shook my head "Go without me" I snapped and grabbed another magazine. I clipped it in and leaned back up. Enid huffed and turned running into the house.

When everyone shot the head lights out as planned. I turned and ran behind the barricade. I crept down, and checked my magazine. I put it back in as the saviors crepted out, and it was silent for a second until our lights came on and we aimed and shot at them. I was aiming for Simon but he got away. I did get a couple other Saviors though.

"Hey you" Maggie said coming up next to me. I leaned on the barricade we made, as I sighed. "Don't. Please" I told her and she sighed, before slinging an arm around me. "I know it's hard honey, but Carl wouldn't want you crying over him." I sighed and looked down at the ring on my finger. "We got married." I said in a quiet voice. "Gabriel married us awhile ago, and we didn't tell anyone" Maggie just let me pour my heart out. "He wrote me a letter to not be sad over him, but... how can I not. I can't even bring myself to open the damn letter" I said as tears came to my eyes.

"He was the love of my life Mags. I mean at least you have a baby to remember Glenn. I have nothing" I told her and she sighed before turning me to her taking my hands in hers. "Carl will always be with you Chloe. In here" she said placing a hand on my heart. "Isn't that what you told me?" she asked and I nodded slightly. "He'll always be watching over you, and when your time comes you'll see that boy again" She told me, and I opened my mouth to tell her about how I don't have to wait I see him everywhere. Rick stepped out and I closed my mouth just nodding. "I uh.. I'm gonna go see Jude" I told her and walked away from her.

Judith wanted to sleep with me tonight so I took her outside to my little house trailer thing I share with Enid. Judith and I laid in bed as she cuddled into my side. I smiled and ran a hand through her curls before drifting off myself.

-Dream-

I found myself back in Alexandria where people were building the houses back up. I smiled at Rick and Judith as they waved at me. I waved back and turned to take in the surroundings. The walls were down and people were moving into the houses. I turned and saw the one eyed boy staring at me smiling. "Carl" I spoke with tears in my eyes. He held his arms out and I ran over jumping into them. Carl twirled me in a circle before my feet hit the ground. I started to cry but he held me tightly rubbing my back. "Shh" he whispered and I lifted my head looking at him. "Carl" I whispered and lifted a hand to his face. "Come on I wanna show you something" He whispered and intertwined our fingers together. We went over to an empty house and stood on the porch. "What'd you-" He cut me off as he slammed his lips on to mine. He pulled away and I smiled. Carl wiped my tears away and pulled me into the house.

Inside was filled with furniture, and my hand became cold again. I turned not seeing Carl. "Carl!" I called out, and heard a sound upstairs. I hesitated before walking upstairs. I walked down the hall before opening the door to find Carl holding a little girl. "Mommy!" The baby called out and I took her into my arms. "Be careful Carly!" Carl reminded her, as he came over placing a hand on my stomach. "You could hurt your brother" He told her and she just giggled before hugging my neck softly. "Sorry mommy" she said and I just smiled. I turned to Carl but when I did my bump disapeared and the little girl did to. We were outside in a flower meadow. "See what a life we could of had" he told me, before pushing his lips to mine. Pulling away I started to sob. "What's wrong?" he asked wiping my tears, and hugging me tightly. "I-I Jus-just miss you" I stuttered, and Carl's grip tightened. "I miss you too baby"

We sat against a tree as I laid my head on his chest. Carl had a tight grip on my waist, as he kissed my head every five seconds. Suddenly Carl froze and I looked up confused. "You have to wake up" He said, but I grew confused. "No way! why whats wrong?" I asked. "Chloe, baby you need to wake up. You have to wake up and protect Judith. Something is going on just wake up" I nodded and closed my eyes, as I willed myself to wake up.

I opened my eyes to see Judith over me trying to wake me up. "What's wrong baby" I whispered pulling her to me. Suddenly I heard someone screaming and my eyes widened. "Alright heres what were gonna do alright?" I asked and she nodded. "You're gonna go over to Enids bed, and I'm gonna protect you alright?" I asked and Judith nodded crawling off my lap and running over to Enid's bed climbing inside. The doorknob turned and I jumped up aiming my gun. I was about to shoot until I saw Jesus.

"What the hell is going on Jesus?" I asked, as I lowered my gun, and he sighed seeing that Judith and I were both safe. "The Saviors did something to their weapons, and its making everyone who got shot sick. Some people turned."  I sighed and nodded running a hand through my hair. "Are you okay?" he asked and I nodded. "Fine" I tucked my gun away and turned to Judith, as the door swung open again. Jesus and I both turned to see Rick and I breathed out in Relief. He hugged me first kissing my head, before going over and picking up Judith.

After Jesus and Rick left me alone I sat on the bed. "What the hell was that last night" Enid snapped coming in. "What Carl dies and you're suddenly on a suicide mission? He wouldn't want you doing this" She snapped and I stood up. "You don't get to lecture me about Carl" I snapped, and Enid rolled her eyes at me. "I'm doing what I think is right." I snapped, and tossed my gun on my bed. "Well what you think is right is wrong." I groaned. "Enid." I spoke turning to her. "Carl is dead." I grabbed my gun and turned walking out of the trailer slamming the door behind me.
