i was holding jacks hand as i lead him through the yard of my grandmas house which was where i used to live when i was thirteen.
it's where me and jack built our "ground house"
i grabbed the key before we left, because i wanted to be here with him again. it's been awhile, since before he left for that other tour.
"okay, we're here" i said slowly, taking the bandana off his eyes.
his eyes lit up with both surprise and happiness.
so i smiled.
"oh my god." he smiled.
"yeah, i know. come on." i said pulling him to the door.
it was locked like usual, i took the key from my back pocket, jack watching me.
and i unlocked the door and we walked inside.
i plopped down on the beanbag, i always sat in, but instead of jack going to his blue one, he sat with me.
he put his head on my shoulder.
"i miss this, when we were younger and could just hide out in here for hours" he said as he drew circles with his finger on my hand as he held it.
to be honest, i missed it too.
"me too" i agreed, i looked at him, he was looking at me already.
"i love you" he whispered.
i smiled at him. "i love you" i said back.
he smiled, "that's why this is so hard" he sighed and sat up.
he was talking about the tour.
"it's going to be okay, we will just be apart for awhile, we always come back and i feel if we really do love each other like we say then when you come back, we will find our way back to each other." i said.
"yeah, i know, i know. just don't forget about me" he said.
"i could never jack. i love you too much to forget" i said and placed a soft kiss on his lips, he instantly kissed me back.
"i could never kiss someone like that, only you" he pulled away saying.
"you remember whenever we were building this thing and i was tired and was holding that hammer, i fell losing my balance and the hammer landed on your foot?" jack said smiling at the memory.
i remembered it very clearly, the first of many times i was in the emergency room.
"oh god, yes" i said smiling now.
(flashback)
"i made lunch" my mom said walking out back.
"okay, we will be in, in a second" i said to her.
she smiled and walked back inside and waited for us.
"jack, lets go eat" i called.
"okay, i'm tired though" he said yawning.
"we can take a nap too" i offered.
"sounds amazing" he said and before you know it, he is tripping over a piece of wood we left, and also the hammer he is holding tightly lands on my foot.
"ow!" i screamed loud.
"oh my god lillian! i'm so sorry" jack looked terrified as he stood up getting the hammer.
i had tears rolling down my face, it hurt so much, i want it to stop, why won't it stop.
"go get my mom" i said sobbing.
he hurriedly ran inside and got her.
next thing you know, i'm sitting on a bed in the emergency room and the doctor is putting a cast on my ankle. i broke it.
well technically jack broke it, but that's fine.
(over)
"you broke your ankle" he said.
"no, you broke my ankle" i corrected only joking.
"i wanted to cry because i thought you were going to die and i felt so bad for like ever." he said.
"yeah and i got mad when you would say you were sorry or you felt bad because i was fine" i said.
"god, we had everything then" he said.
i nodded my head along agreeing with him. we really did.
i put my hand on the wood ground feeling it was loose.
"oh" i mumbled under my breath but jack didn't hear.
i was pulling at it and it came off, but it was like a hidden place, i saw a envelope, and it had my name in big letters on the front.
"what's this?" i asked picking it up.
jack widened his eyes, seeing it. then smiled.
"oh my god" he whispered taking it.
"what is it?" i asked him.
"a letter i wrote, before i left for tour, it's for you"
