Chapter 7

“Hey girl! Where are you?” I moved Sammy away from my ear for a moment as Ness screeched on her phone.

“Hey!” I replied. “Glad you called. Boredom is killing me right now.” I added while throwing magazines to the coffee table in front of me and placing my feet across the table, one over the other and leaning my back on the sofa.

“Really? Where are you girl let me entertain you!” She excitedly replied.

“Home, girl. Want to come?” I invited her.

“Sure! You’re family’s there so I better bring my good manners with me.” She said mockingly and laughed.

I laughed with her idea as I replied, “Don’t worry. They’re not here so-“

“They left you? Poor cutie Lou, I will prepare for ten minutes then I’ll be there in a flash.” She said cutting me off as I rolled my eyes. I can feel that she’s smiling on the other line so I smiled too to myself.

“Okay, I’ll wait for you. How about some movies?” I replied drumming my fingers on my thigh.

“I like that girl. Also, I’d love you to tell me loads of things today. I can’t wait for Monday.”  She said almost giving me the desperate tone as I rolled my eyes.

“Okay, will do! So get your ass here now. Please?” I pleaded chuckling.

“Okay, okay. You know I hate you waiting. See you!” she cut the line without even letting me bid her goodbye. Well that’s inappropriate but that’s expected from Ness.

I went upstairs grabbing my crimson towel and toiletries inside my room to have a fast shower. I don’t like Ness smelling me with bed scent and entertaining her with my bed hair that goes almost everywhere. After showering, I trotted to my room to put some clothes on. I wore my matching panty and bra with small blue hearts all over. I put on my gray like cement tank top, pink as flamingo long sleeved cardigan and red as blood silk shorts Aunt Faye bought me from China. They’re like my pajamas actually. I always wear shorts or boxers at home or to bed, maybe to enhance my legs for a bit. I looked at my full body mirror to check on myself. I nodded as I satisfied myself with what I’m seeing. I put my day cream on my face then my glasses over my nose, combed my hair slightly and dried it a bit. After drying, I twisted my hair into a messy bun leaving some of my baby hair falling at the nape of my neck. I grabbed Sammy from my night table and swiftly dropped it in one of my cardigan's patch pockets.

I ran down the stairs to our entertainment room humming to myself. I walked straight to the cabinet Uncle George kept his DVD collection. I tapped my index finger on the movie The Eye while I’m deciding. I think I want to watch horror movies today but immediately changed my mind realizing its only ten in the morning and it won’t give any thrill. I looked next on a comedy entitled The 3Idiots. I laughed to myself remembering its plot. As I touched the romantic-comedy Friends with Benefits, I heard someone banging loudly and impatiently behind my door.

“Coming!” I hollered as I jogged to our door. To annoy me I think, the person on the other side of the door continued knocking impatiently. I furrowed my eye brows taking the stranger’s way of knocking annoying. As I opened the door, the stranger’s not anywhere in sight. I peeped on the left side of the door. I felt cold heavy hands dropped on my shoulder from behind me as I jolted from where I was standing.
