Chapter 15
After Jayden washed himself from our bathroom and changed his blue shirt into a black v-neck one covering it with his navy blue hoody, we headed downstairs still playfully doing sweet physical things like, hugging, holding hands, and kissing sometimes. When we reached the entertainment room, we saw baby Lucy fast asleep on the carpet. We both glanced at each other and approached the sleeping angel. “How nice of you, the babysitter, to just leave Lucy babe here.” he teased me as I smacked his arm softly.
“I know it may sound weird, but I talked to her that I’ll just help you upstairs. I told her to behave and now look at her.” I smiled to Lucy for obeying me and glanced back to Jayden.
“I want to have baby sweetie and cutie pies someday.” He said as he wrapped his arm around my waist from my back. I blushed with the thought that he wanted to have babies with me. I wanted that too but not now. I think soon, after I established myself with a decent degree and work. Just then, we both chuckled as we heard his tummy grumbled again.
“Come on, come on. Let’s eat. I prepared Buffalo wings with rice pilaf. I hope you’ll like it.” I said as we walked into the passage to the dining area.
“I can’t wait to taste it! Can you believe that? They didn’t even remember to feed me back there.” he complained and followed me. I prepared the table for the both of us and started eating dinner. He was silent while he ate and I glanced at him to see if his liking the food or what.
He broke the silence as he asked, “So how’s uni?”
“Normal, but quite dull without you and the guys around.” I answered as I shove my spoon in my mouth.
“Mmm. I received a message from Mr. Squill, you accepted our request?” he smiled at me hopefully as he drank his juice.
“Yeah, I wanted to do it for the additional points though. Ness will tutor Blake, so it’s just you and I. Also, Mr. Squill requested for me to put my attention on you, your failing the class appallingly.” I told him quite disappointment in my tone.
He smiled sheepishly and held my hand and squeezed it gently, “That’s why I requested for you. I know I’ll learn well from you sweetie pie and I’m sorry if ever you’re gonna waste time on me.”
I smiled back at him but with a hint of reassurance. “Don’t worry; I’m done with my requirements so there’s nothing to worry about. To make things clear to you, I won’t be wasting my time, since I’m with you, you silly boy!”
He chuckled softly and continued eating as he nodded. “You’ll make a good housewife.” He teased as I slapped his arm softly. “The dinner’s good by the way! And you can take care of a baby! Then I can work for our small beautiful family! Perfect right?” he smirked dreamily while teasing.
“Wake up, shut up and just eat!” I ordered as we both giggled. After dinner, Jayden volunteered to wash the dishes but I insisted to do it. I told him to relax on the couch with Lucy as I cleaned up the table and the kitchen. It took me ten minutes to finish everything and it was an early dinner we had. I glanced at the clock as I saw it was only six twenty-four in the evening. I head back to the entertainment room as I heard Lucy crying so I rushed to her. I picked her up from the carpet immediately into my arms and cradled her gently.
“Shush, shush, baby Lucy. Lou’s here…” I repeated the phrase for I think five times softly unable to make her stop. I sighed heavily thinking of how I can stop her. I don’t want Jayden to wake up because of this. I glanced at him and saw him shifted his position and lightly groaned. Instantly a word entered my mind, a song! I should sing! As Lucy’s cry became louder, my mouth opened and released precious lyrics coming from the depths of my mind as I cradled her with the melody of my song. “I get so weak when you look at me…” I started as Lucy abruptly paused to gaze at me as if she was listening intently. “I get lost inside your eyes.” I lightly tapped the tiny tip of her nose as her whimper became giggles while she tried catching my finger. I decided to continue my song for her to fell asleep again, “Sometimes the magic is hard to believe.” She started to yawn again as I gave her, her small milk bottle for her to gulp in. “that you’re here before my very eyes…”
