I'm really sorry for the late update..but here it goes.. :)

Chapter 20: A Dress to impress but is it enough?

“This is so not working!” I screamed frustrated inside the dressing room tossing another poor dress to the other side.

“Lou, relax. We will find the perfect dress for you.” Ness calmed me down as I heard her picking up the dress that I just threw.

If you were wondering, five days from now our batch will leave for the excursion. The busy weeks passed by in a flash because of the requirements and exams. Don’t ask me, you’ll get bored hearing me how all of it happened. It was so busy that I seriously didn’t realize that the trip was this week already.

I was with Ness today, shopping since Ireth couldn’t make it. She had a major practice for her stage plays coming next month. So, yay! I get to decide what clothes to buy and unfortunately, I was having a huge trouble looking for the dress.

Ness and I had been in this boutique for almost an hour and a half. I tried every dress she thought would fit me perfectly but I just couldn’t feel it. The dresses were beautiful but those were just not the one I was looking for.

“Are there anymore dress out there? If there’s no more, I think we better go to another shop.” I recommended.

“There are still more for you to try and we will try all this dresses on you until you found the one.” Ness told me trying to lift her enthusiasm.

I know she was losing the hope she had earlier because of the time it was taking to find my dress. But I couldn’t blame her. I pushed her to go shopping with me today and this was the result. I sighed as I tried to zip up on my side another dress that Ness wanted me to try.

The dress I was trying on right now was tight. So tight that my boobs wanted to jump out of the dress. it was a bright colored dress like the sunset. I liked the color but the fit wasn’t right. I groaned again in frustration so I got out of the dress again and tossed it just like the others.

If you’re thinking, I was looking for a dress that looked formal and yet it will fit in with the beach’s ambience. We were not sure yet if the ball will be held near the ocean or in a ball room. Since I wanted to save money, I decided to buy that dress that I can wear on either venue.

“Here, take this and try it.” Ness ordered from the other side as she slid the dress under the door.

“Are you irritated already? I don’t want you hating me because of this.”  I told Ness.

“Oh shush! I’m not irritated, I’m just focusing.” She said slightly distracted.

“Alright.” I said as I glanced at the dress. It was aquamarine which had a lot of sequence at the top to the waist. I liked the color so I decided to try it on. “This looked nice.”

“Good try it on and let me see, okay? I’ll be right back. I thought I saw a cream dress somewhere near the counter. Call me when you’re done.”

I nodded to myself realizing she couldn’t see me. I heard her walked away so I just did what she told me to do, to fit the dress. The dress fitted me perfectly and the color complimented my skin. I liked it. My curves were enhanced and I felt like a princess in the dress with the hem flowing smoothly to the floor. But. Yes there was still a ‘but’ because I couldn’t feel that the dress was the one.

I opened the door of the dressing room at the exact time that Ness came back with a creamy silk dress. She looked at me up and down. Then she did it again from my toes to my head then she laughed.
