Chapter 13

Honestly, I was getting impatient with all the wait and hindrances occurring while we walked the pavements. But then again, I was quite amused on how Jayden pulled off the leadership act in their farm while Mr. Watson wasn’t around. I didn’t even know that he can be a good leader. Anyway, Mr. Watson was the owner and if he was not around, Jayden’s on second command. While we walked the pavements, several servants came asking him some things that I don’t understand about the roosters’ sparring thing and hen houses. I roamed my eyes on my surroundings while he entertained them and looked back at him once their done. “Sorry about that.” He muttered every now and then after a conversation with a servant.

“I said its fine.” I answered for the hundredth time and smiled at him.  He held my hands on his as we walked the trail again. I sighed as another servant came rushing towards us smiling.

“Young sir! Young sir!” the man came running towards us. Jayden nodded and as the man approached us he said, “The others are waiting for you, they said they will start already with the-“

“Tell them we’ll be there in a minute.” Jayden cut him off as he pulled me to a different direction. The man nodded and ran back from where he came from.

“What’s that about? And who were the ‘others’?” I asked curiously as he tugged me along without a word. “Hey!” I shook his hand to get his attention but he didn’t talk as he pulled me along where the trails of pavements became wider and the muddy floor became solid cement. I gaped with my eyes wide as I stared where he brought me.

I gasped lightly as Jayden left my hand and walked further away from me. “Nice huh?”

I was speechless with the area. It was like a miniature racing track like the ones you see in formula one except that what I’m seeing was a like a quarter size of an original track. The racing track circulated the area leaving a meadow of grass at the middle. There were two huge boxes like digital timer on both sides of the track at the what I think was a finish line. The place provided what I think was seven rows of inclined seats covered with aluminum thingy in case the sun was high or if it rained where audiences can watch and cheer. There were also metal and concrete barriers in some areas of the track colored yellow and black. As I stared blankly, I thought why he made me wear my sportswear attire. This thing I’m wearing by the way wasn’t complete but it supposed to be a costume for motorcycle racing.

Oh my God. I wasn’t prepared for this and I remembered that I don’t even know how to ride a simple bike. A freaking simple bike, pathetic right? Mom and Mommy, my grandmother, weren’t fans of bikes so I wasn’t able to learn it when I was younger. Unlike Ireth and Ralph, they had the chance while I did not. Well that’s just unfortunate of me and let’s just hope that Jayden won’t let me ride a motor bike alone. That will make me looked like a complete fool. My chest pounded with my thoughts as I saw Jayden right beside me smiling, “So what do you think? Surprised?”
