Chapter 5: "Where It All Started"

Rey:
Rey stood on the entrance of the Millennium Falcon overlooking the rocky island of Ach-to. All eyes were on her as she slowly walked out. Poe was about to go after her but Leia placed her hand on his chest , holding him back, and gave him a look that said everything that needed to be said. Poe stepped aside as Leia walked passed him out towards Rey. She stood next to her.

"He only taught me 3 lessons. How will I become what they need me to be with 3 lessons?", Rey said.

"I trust his judgment. He has something planned for you. I can feel it. You will be fine Rey, you just have to start."

Rey looked to Leia as she stared off in the distance. "Where will I start?"

"With your 3 lessons", Leia spoke, calmly.

They stood their, taking in the islands intricate structures. The Resistance members staring at them waiting for instructions on what to do next. What they couldn't see was the connection Rey and Leia were creating between them in the force. They could feel the flow between them. It wasn't as strong as the one Rey had with her son but it existed and it reassured Rey that for now she would be ok. She didn't want to rush time. Right now she just wanted to look out. Minutes passed and the sun was beginning to set. Leia looked towards the sun and remembered Luke, her dearest brother. She wished she could have been with mother and Luke. And her father...she wished he would have never turned to the dark. She then thought about her son ad looked at Rey. She knew that Rey was holding something back from her but she didn't know what.

Poe turned to the dwindling Resistance and spoke, ending their moment, "I shall go check the lands quickly and come back with our sleeping arrangements. Keep still here and set up camp just in case." In the distance, Leia whispered, "He's really something isn't he.". Rey nodded. She walked up to Poe who was about to leave. "Oh Rey...I was about to ask if you could maybe help me look around the island." Poe looked towards Fin. He looked as if he were a walking corpse. He refused to eat or sleep or do anything that would distract from Roses health. He wouldn't speak a single word to anyone, not even Rey.
"I would ask him but.."
"I know.", Rey worried about him. But currently she had many things to worry about, she just wanted a few more moments of peace. "Let's go", Rey said and started off, which surprised Poe.

They spent a couple hours walking around mostly talking and Rey showing Poe all of the important architecture. After awhile, they were walking back to camp when Poe yelped. Rey turned towards him. "Poe!" He fell over, knocking Rey on top of him, which sent them both rolling across a soft patch of green grass. He began laughing hysterically as Rey punched him on the shoulder. "Try to play with me like that again. I dare you...", Rey said confidently. Poe and Rey couldn't stop laughing until they realized they were on the ground. Rey on top of him, pinning down his hands with her fingers woven into his. "Um...we should get going to the camp.", Rey implied by standing up. "We probably should.", said Poe while nervously smiling and glancing at the floor and at Rey.

When they returned the group of resistance, Rey left Poe's side and stood next to Leia as Poe made his announcement to the group.

"I have come to an arrangement on out, hopefully, short stay here on this island. Across this field their are many huts. Each of you pick someone you like because your sharing your hut with your 2 other fellow members. 3 people per hut! Also there are some rules that must be followed during our stay. For those of you who don't already know, we are staying on SACRED JEDI LANDS, so no training near any important structures only in open fields. You MUST NOT tell your family about your whereabouts. This planet is quite well hidden and we don't want the to change because our forces are weak. We cannot risk the first order finding us before we are ready. Do not worry we will not be here for long so soon enough you will all be able to contact your loved ones.", he took a deep breath saw Leia signal him through her eyes and understood. "Now that thats all said and done a word from our General Leia."
