Edinburgh was beautiful, absolutely beautiful, and while Marlena wanted nothing more than to indulge in that, she couldn't. As the team grew closer and closer to Vision and Wanda's location, Marlena grew anxious. The silence looming over the city was deafening, but not so much as the sound of the very familiar mind of the young woman she'd been worrying about since the day she left Washington. Wanda and Vision were in trouble, that much she could determine. What made matters worse was that she could see it and hear it, and with each passing second that sight and sound grew incredibly clearer.

"How much longer until we land?" Marlena asked Sam.

"About five minutes," he answered. "If you could stop pacing that would be great."

"I'm not stopping until Wanda and Vision are safe," Marlena remarked. "If you could hear and see everything I hear and see at this very moment, you'd be pacing as well."

"What do you see?" Natasha asked.

Marlena shook her head as she looked over the images in her head. "Vision's hurt, and Wanda's trying to protect him, but there are these two creatures, these two very ugly creatures trying to stop her. They're not of Earth, that much I know. I don't think Wanda can hold them off on her own, especially not while trying to protect Vision."

"The creatures," Steve started. "They're after the stone, aren't they?"

Marlena only nodded her head.

"We've gotta hurry, Steve," Natasha spoke seriously. "We don't know what these things are or where they came from, nor do we know the extent of their abilities."

"I know."

Marlena sighed and squeezed her eyes shut as the sound of Vision's screams resonated throughout her mind. She couldn't wait for Sam to land. She feared there would be nothing left for them to do once he had landed, and that was a chance she was not willing to take.

"What are you doing?" Steve questioned Marlena as she made her way to the back of the jet.

The brunette didn't even spare a glance behind her before answering. "I'm going to protect my family, Steve."

Marlena didn't bother waiting on a response. She only pressed the release at the very back of the jet and wasted no time at all in jumping from the jet once the hatch had released. All Natasha and Steve could do was stare after her. They knew better than to try and stop her when she had her mind and heart set on doing something.

The closer Marlena got to the ground, the louder the screams became. She could see the blast from the mind stone tear into a vehicle on the ground. Wanda fought with one of the strange creatures she didn't doubt she'd see more of. Vision's pained screams sent a shudder through Marlena's petite body. She watched as Wanda propelled herself into the air and onto the rooftop where Vision lay. The Sokovian very quickly eliminated the alien threat in an attempt to get to Vision, but Wanda was so focused on protecting Vision she wasn't watching her back.
