{why do you hate home so much?}
"Den, hello???"
"H-ha? Ano yun?" Den asked when she saw Ella's hand waving at her.
Ella's face straightened, "chika ako ng chika dito tas ikaw nag-s-space out dyan, anong meron?" Ella asked, she saw Den looked past her, and saw a tall lady standing with earphones on while eyes are closed, tumingin ulit siya kay Den, "why are you looking at her?"
"Uhm... this is the fifth time na makakasabay ko siya dito sa LRT," Den answered.
"And?" Ella asked.
"Wala, I find it odd lang."
"Coincidence lang siguro, tsaka sa dami ng sumasakay sa LRT, natandaan mo talaga siya ha?"
"Yeah, besh, cause the third time na nakasabay ko siya, she's wearing the same polo like mine, tas kami pa nagkatabi, so how's that?"
"Really?!" Ella overreacted that earned looks from the people around them, pinanlakihan ni Den ng mata si Ella, Ella covered her mouth while laughing, "shit? Wala bang picture?"
Den rolled her eyes, "at bakit magkakaroon?" Den said then sighed.
Ella shrugged, "malay mo, tsaka..." Ella looked over the tall lady then back at Den, "I think you look good together."
Den creased her forehead, "ewan ko sayo, yan na naman imaginations mo," Den said.
Ella laughed, "sabihin mo sakin pag nagka-progress, ha?"
"Alam mo, bahala ka dyan," Den said and looked at the train approaching, ignoring her bestfriend's teasing smile.
The next day, Den went home alone again, isang beses lang naman sila nagkakasabay ni Ella umuwi since mas maaga natatapos yung mga classes ni Ella.
Den sighed as she waited for the train to come, it's Friday, 8:30 pm, her classes on Friday always starts at 10 am and ang meron lang eh 2 hours vacant from 1-3 pm then sunod-sunod nang major subjects, she hates Friday kasi drained siya lagi. And today, samahan mo pa na something visited her. Her monthly visitor.
"Yeah, Den, you're still a girl," she said to herself. Irita na siya dahil sa pagod, period, samahan mo pa ng madaming tao dahil Friday at payday. She decided to sit on one of the benches, ayaw niyang makipagsiksikan.
9pm came, she just looked at the third train to pass by, "okay, next train," Den said, then she looked at her phone to continue scrolling in Twitter, she felt someone sat next to her, una niyang nakita na pareho sila ng shoes na suot. She looked at the person and nagulat pa siya kung sino.
6th.
It's the same lady from yesterday and last week. Den had to look away agad because she's already staring too much.
"Coincidences," Den thought.
Train came and tumayo na si Den, saktong konti na lang din yung mga tao, she felt the lady was just behind her. Luckily, nakaupo pa si Den. She looked at where the lady is and she's just across her pero nakatayo ito.
Pagdating sa Katipunan station, sobrang konti na ng tao. The lady's sitting across Den, eyes closed.
"Introvert," Den commented. She stood up dahil malapit na sa station yung train. From going down the platform hanggang pag-exit ng station, Den felt that someone's trailing behind her.
Den didn't mind that at first, pero when napadaan na siya sa madilim na lugar going sa sakayan ng jeep pa-sa kanila, doon na siya kinabahan, she gets her umbrella, hoping that thing will protect her from that someone na sinusundan siya. Her heart's pounding. She can hear the footsteps of someone behind her.
