“Sure ka we’ll not go to Bea’s?” Ly asked her girlfriend who’s currently sitting on the couch, her glasses on, while reading a book.
“Yes, babe, you know I’m not a fan of year end parties, masyadong maingay. You can go naman, I’ll be fine here.”
“No way, if you’re not going then I’ll stay. Besides, first new year natin ‘to together.”
Den smiled, “thank you, babe.”
Ly winked at Den, “malapit ka nang matapos?”
“Yes, but my eyes hurt na rin,” Den answered, hinubad niya yung glasses niya and massaged her temple. Lumapit si Ly and she massaged Den’s temple instead.
“Have you met your target this year? 100 books, right?”
“Yes,” Den answered, feeling relaxed at Ly’s massage, “wanna say thank you for that.”
“Huh? Why?”
“For sitting in silence with me while I’m reading my books.”
Ly smiled, “no worries, babe. You know na I only want to annoy you when you’re playing playstation.”
“I know, and gustong gusto mong gawin yon when I’m close to winning, kaya lagi akong natatalo eh.”
“Hey, I always kiss you naman pag natatalo ka, isn’t that a grandprize?”
“Shut up babe,” Den said while laughing.
“Okay na?” Ly asked as she stop on massaging Den.
“Yes, thank you,” Den answered, gave Ly a kiss on the cheek.
“No problem,” Ly said, hugging Den, “anything else you wanna eat later?”
“Hmm, nothing naman na. Tsaka ang dami na nating naprepare, dalawa lang naman tayong kakain.”
“Malay mo biglang dumating si besh, ubos yon sa kanya.”
“Makakarating ‘to kay besh!” Den warned while laughing.
“I bet she’ll just shrug it off then eat.”
“You’re so meaaan!”
“Ssshhh, secret lang natin,” Ly murmured, Den giggled as she melt in Ly’s embrace.
At 11PM, Ella called them thru FaceTime.
“HOY! PUMUNTA KAYO DITO!” Ella shouted at the two.
Natawa si Den, “enjoy ka dyan, besh. Maraming pagkain.”
“Hindi nga besh, seryoso, hindi talaga kayo pupunta?” Ella asked.
“No, besh, we’ll stay here,” Ly answered.
“Ahhh! KJ!! If I know you’ll just welcome 2019 having sex!”
“OH MY GOD ELLA! SHUT UP!” Den shouted to her bestfriend as she hide her face.
“Salamat sa suggestion, hindi ko yan naisip,” natatawang sabi ni Ly, Ella laughed, too. Nakatanggap agad si Ly ng kurot from Den.
“Putukan na!!!” That’s the last words Ella was able to say kasi pinatayan siya ni Den ng tawag.
Ly laughed harder than she should have, “oh my God that was so funny!!!”
Den frowned, “ang bastos niyo talaga ni Ella kahit kailan!”
Ly answered her girlfriend through a laugh. Nanggigil si Den so she bite Ly’s arm that made Ly yelp in pain.
“Serves you right, Valdez!” Den said as she walk out from the living room to go sa kitchen.
