Ly and Jia arrived a little earlier from call time.
“Ate Ly, excited ka ba?” Jia asked while they’re sitting on one of the benches inside the airport waiting for their teammates.
“Sorry na nga, Ji!” Ly apologized with a chuckle, “kala ko kasi we’re going to be stuck sa traffic, I was just making sure noh kaya kita inaya ng maaga.”
“Yeah, we’re an hour earlier, imbes na nakatulog pa ko ng 1 hour more.”
“Ang grumpy,” Ly said, “you can sleep later while we’re on the plane, promise I won’t bother you.”
“You will not really bother me kasi we’re not seatmates,” Jia sarcastically said then she realized something, “oh!” Jia reacted, “are you excited to see Ate Den?” Jia asked, obviously na may meaning sa tanong niya.
“Why would I? Magkasama kaya kami nitong mga nakaraan, ang clingy ko naman?” Ly asked Jia.
Jia shrugged, “I don’t know. But honestly, you seem more carefree around ate Den.”
Ly furrowed her brows, “we’re friends for a decade now, Ji. I mean, natural lang yon. Sobrang kilala na namin isa’t-isa.”
Jia smiled, “yeah okay okay. And correction, friends? You had a fling before, bat di mo sinama?”
“Ewan ko sayo, you really want to bring up the things from the past.”
“Just saying,” Jia shrugged, “Ate Ly?”
“Oh?” Ly asked.
“Andyan na si Ate Den, mukhang excited din ata,” natatawang sabi ni Jia while looking at Den na nakapila sa entrance.
Ly looked at where Jia is looking. She saw Den na may dalang luggage and obviously fully packed na backpack. Ly can’t help but to laugh.
“Ang dami niya talagang dala lagi,” Ly murmured, “Ji, I’ll just help Den.”
“You don’t have to say that, obvious naman,” Jia answered na nakatingin kay Ly na patakbong lumapit kay Den.
Den was shocked to see Alyssa in front of her.
“Ly?” Den asked, “ba’t ka nandito?”
Ly creased her forehead, “we’re flying to Japan di ba?”
“Uhm yeah, I mean, ang aga pa ah?” Den asked, “thanks,” she said when Ly get her luggage.
“Napaaga kami ni Jia eh, I calculated the time wrong,” Ly answered, “ang dami mong dala, one month ka ba sa Japan?”
Den rolled her eyes,”shut up, lagi mo na lang akong ininiinis everytime we’re going out of town or out of the country about my luggages.”
“Look at these naman kasi! Dala mo ba si Midknight?” pang-iinis ni Ly.
Den just snorted. Lumapit sila kay Jia who’s waiting for them then Jia hugged Den.
“Long time no see, Ate Den,” Jia said.
Den smiled, “miss you Ji.”
“Hey, ako hindi?” Ly asked.
“We’re together last Wednesday, Ly,” Den answered.
“Di raw pala clingy,” Jia murmured, Ly heard that and eyed Jia, Jia just shrugged.
The three silently waited for their other teammates, Jia decided na ipagpatuloy yung tulog niya, Ly’s listening sa music and Den’s watching some vlogs til her phone got lowbatt, she stopped watching to charge her phone and tumingin kay Ly.
