I knew all to well what would happen to Mikoto if he succeeded in killing the Colorless King. Munakata made it very clear when he told me I was free from my debts that his sword of Damocles was close to its limit, and there's a possibility of a second Damocles fall - that he would never allow.
When Mikoto broke out from his prison I stood along side the other Homra members, Misaki holding my hand tight with the first real smile I've seen on his face since Tatara died six days ago.
"Yuri," Mikoto began, the other blues watching behind us helpless. They stood no chance against the third King.
I took a breath, my hand slipping out of Yata's as I stepped forward, Mikoto holding out of his own hand.
"Tired of waiting?" He teased.
"I could barely hold myself together, King." I replied with a smirk.
His aura wrapped around me and I felt the power surge through me, the back of my neck burned for a second before it all faded away.
Mikoto leaned forward and my eyes widened as he whispered into my ear, "I'm glad to have welcomed you into the clan officially, before I couldn't anymore."
I knew much too well, that Mikoto was going to die.
