I didn't know Saruhiko, we never really talked that much. When we did, it wasn't ever a kind conversation - but I would be wrong to say that I didn't admire him somewhat. I was an onlooker, an outsider in exile while I was with the Blues.
I could see things they over looked, and one of those things was how much work Fushimi actually did for them all, he took on almost everything - worked longer hours - he dedicated himself to the blue king completely.
So whatever argument he got into had to have been bad, for him to leave.
If what Yata told me had any truth, about him cursing Mikoto and burning his isignia before ditching the reds to join the blues, then there has to be more to the reason why he left yet another clan - other than the fact that he's a 'traitor'.
Come to think of it, Misaki also said they used to live together in some run down apartment after dropping out of high school. So if not at Sceptre 4 in their headquarter dorms, then where was he even going to stay?
"Hey, Yuri." Yata began, snapping me out of my thoughts, "What're you thinking about?"
I smiled wearily, "Fushimi. It's just odd... he was a blue through and through, he was their number 3. It doesn't make any sense how he could just leave like that."
"Well, he was always a-"
"No." I quickly stopped him, "Don't just insult the guy, Yata. I get it, he betrayed you, he left you... but I'm telling you things were different when I was with the blues. Something more has to be going on."
The male sighed heavily, frowning as he plopped down on the couch and layed his head on my lap, "I don't know." He groaned, "If it was just some dumb argument, I'm sure he'll get over it. He'll probably be back with the blues in no time at all."
I ran my fingers through his hair, smiling at how his eyes immediatly shut.
"Alright. I won't worry about it then."
He sighed happily, curling in closer to me as I continued to play gently with his hair. Sometimes, he was kind of like a dog... or... a bird, a crow - maybe even more loyal than a dog.
That is why they call him Yatagarasu, after all.
