Today was Rei's first day of school, and I hadn't cried in such a long time that I couldn't seem to remember how to stop.
Watching him run off without a care hurt me more than anything, he was finally growing up and learning how to go out on his own.
I trudged back to the bar since I got the day off for the 'big day' as Munakata called it, and sniffled as I plopped over on the couch.
"What's wrong with you?" Mikoto asked.
"I'm alright, thanks, King."
The male frowned, "Seriously, why are you upset?"
"It's Rei's first day of school." I managed to get out, "Look." I reached out my PDF to him and he took it carefully, looking through all the pictures.
He stood and moved over to Izumo and soon enough the whole bar had seen little Rei with his backpack that was bigger than his entire body and a grin that looked like it would stretch his face out.

"Yuri, I don't get why your sad, you should celebrate!" Tatara cheered, smiling to me.
I was half siting up with my face squished into Yata's stomach. He'd just come up from his room and came right over to my half dead form.
"I couldn't celebrate if I tried, Tatara." I groaned, "What if he gets bullied or can't make friends or the teacher is mean or maybe he'll fall and hurt himself on the pavement. Why is it pavement? Why don't they coat it in that memory foam stuff?" I asked, not letting go of Yata as I looked up to him.
He sighed, "You worry too much about him, you know."
"Yeah, you're right."
"Are you gonna let me go now?"
"Just, let me have this, dammit!"
