Yata and I were separated when Kusangi called everyone off the island per Mikoto's orders.
I stayed with Anna on the now snow covered land space off the street in front of the lake, that Yata and I once hung out together on, during the much warmer summer.
"You're worried about him." Anna began, catching my attention. I moved my eyes from the island back to her and gave her a small smile,
"Is it that obvious?"
She nodded, "You know, you remind me of Mikoto."
My eyes widened and I stuttered over my words, "I could never be compared to-"
"Your red is just as passionate, of course, for different reasons."
I hesitated, "What's my reason?"
"Misaki." The little girl smiled and I couldn't stop myself from smiling back, "You two are like characters from a love story."
I sweat dropped, unsure if that was a good or bad thing.
I'm gonna take that as a good thing. I told myself, turning at the sound of Yata yelling at Kusangi with an angry tone, obviously upset that he had to leave Mikoto behind.
After Kusangi shut him up by telling him to be a man, he plopped down beside me and pouted.
"How long do you think we'll be stuck here waiting?" He asked.
I shrugged, "Not sure. I just hope it's not too long."
I don't know how much longer I could bear waiting for what I knew was going to happen.
