They were everywhere. I couldn't ran away from them. Every way I turned, they were always there. Following me, to hurt me, to destroy me bit by bit. The monsters are relentless.

Today, a monster talked to me. He said his name was Jing Yu, but it was so hard to trust him, to believe that he was actually human. The monster asked for too many questions and kept getting closer to me, like he was about to hurt me. I ran away before he got the chance but I couldn't make up my mind. Was he a monster or a normal person? Was he honestly trying to be nice to me? To talk to me and befriend me?

Wei Zhou's thoughts were interrupted when the school bell suddenly rang. He walk briskly to his locker and grabbed his backpack and jacket. As soon as he was done, he immediately took off, out of the school building. In his mind, nowhere is safe. He looked at the cars passing by and the bicycles around with monsters riding them. He didn't own one because he himself doesn't want to go home early.

"Wei Zhou!!" A voice called to him. Wei Zhou flinched, clenched his eyes shut and wraps his arms around himself, bracing his body for whatever the monster had in store for him.

"Hey, ZhouZhou. Relax, it's me." The voice spoke again. Wei Zhou didn't know who is talking, or how cloae they are, but his heart was beating really hard, like it's about to jump out of his chest and Wei Zhou hold back his tears. He didn't want to get hurt. He just wanted the monster to go away and leave him alone. What did he do to deserve this?

"I told you earlier, I'm not going to hurt you. I won't and I can't."

It must have been that guy, that Jing Yu... Wei Zhou told his brain.

His eyes slowly slid open and there in front of him, stood Jing Yu. The more he saw him, the more he liked to believe that he isn't a normal person he used to say. Jing Yu is too handsome to be one. His face was just perfect, that crooked teeth of him adds more charm to his already handsome face. Wei Zhou believes that this guy, indeed, is the devil himself. A devil who hides underneath an irresistible facade to bring hell to his life. Wei Zhou shivered at the thought.

"Don't tell me you'll walk home, all alone?" Jing Yu asked, with a smile playing on his lips. Wei Zhou nodded in response and unconsciously took a step away to give himself some space.

This is all an act. He didn't care about me. He is a monster, I must remember that... Wei Zhou reminded himself.

"Please, stay away..." Wei Zhou whispered.

"Wei Zhou... Why are you so afraid? Have I done something wrong?" Jing Yu asked.

"No, no." Wei Zhou mumbled. Tears now streaming down his cheeks.

"Shhh.. Don't cry. What did I do?" Jing Yu asked, confused.

Wei Zhou turned around and ran away, towards the woods. He was relieved when Jing Yu stopped following him.
