Song: Horololo - EXO-CBX
'I stand up taller, try to look cooler, saying things to sound grown-up but I lose myself.'
⚡️⚡️⚡️
The clicking sound from my pen infiltrated the silence in the room. My itchy fingers wouldn't stop pressing the pen and this obnoxious habit of mine lasted the past hour. Time to time, I reminded myself to put the damn pen down but a moment later I would find myself holding onto the same stationery.
What's wrong with me?
What's wrong was that I couldn't stop dwelling on what Jongdae and I had talked about. I was dying of curiosity. I wanted to hear the real reason he chose my song over Jun's, and why would he be curious enough to ask me about the rooftop incident.
The other big question popping into my head was: Are we friends now?
I'm not sure how to react again the next time I see him. Then again... maybe I'm being oversensitive. Maybe he doesn't care that much. Maybe he casually asked those questions because it randomly came to his mind. It can't possibly be because he cared about me. Right?
"Rosie! Are you with me!?" Jason's voice intruded my head, shaking me up from my seat. He was standing at the door of the usual conference room I was in. No doubt he was looking for me.
"Sorry, Jason." I cleared my throat. "Y-You were finding me?"
"Yes I was. Can you do me a small favour?" He requested, sounding extremely nice.
"Yeah, sure. What is it?"
...
Jason was so kind when he brought up his request. He also said it was going to be a small favour.
He said it was... but what came along were several stacks of paper piled before me. I glanced at the clock in the room and it was ticking past 7 pm already. It was all because I had to finish up other paperwork for the day that I ended up neglecting Jason's 'little' favour, but in the first place it was a terrible idea to agree to his request so easily.
"You just have to help me clear these documents. The old documents need to be shredded away, but those that aren't need to be filed up. Oh, and file them according to the dates." He instructed me.
I let out a big sigh, thinking that I should maybe get myself dinner before starting my overtime. I made my way down to the jjajangmyeon store near the office. It didn't even take a second to decide what was going to be my dinner. All hail jjajangmyeon!
"Hi Auntie, I'd like to have a bowl of jjajangmyeon takeaway, please." I placed my order to a motherly figure who simply nodded back with a warm smile.
"Make it two, Auntie." A manly voice sounded into my ears. My eyes widened and my heart skipped a beat as I recognised his voice in an instant. I whipped around to see the man masked in his identity. "You..."
"Are you that surprise? Close your mouth, you're about to drool." Jongdae chuckled and took a seat by the cashier while I remained standing.
"What are you doing here?" I tilted my head. Funny how I became the one asking him the question that used to irk me.
"What do you mean by what? I'm here to get my dinner," he said.
"Are you stalking me?" I folded my arms and shot him a suspicious look.
"No I wasn't," Jongdae denied calmly.
"Yes you are. Otherwise, why do I see you everywhere I go?"
