When I'm broken - Completed

PROLOGUE

(Roni's POV)

Roni watches as Tori laughed. Umiikot ito habang sumasayaw sa tugtog na sinalang nila mula sa mga cellphone nila. Tori was throwing her head back laughing. Masayang masaya ito. It was contagious but she was imagining things again dahil ang nipis ng suot nitong black night gown. Kitang kita niya ang umbok sa bahagi ng dibdib nito.

Roni forced herself not to look pero hindi niya maiwasan. Laging bumabalik ang tingin niya dito. Pati na sa leeg nito at sa labi. She suddenly felt thirsty. Napatingin tuloy siya sa basong nasa lamesa. She quickly grabbed it and drank it all.

Hindi niya maiwasang hindi isipin ang mga panaginip niya nitong mga nakaraang araw. It was overly being sexual in a way. Lalo na kapag naaalala niya kung saan napunta ang kamay nito kagabi habang yakap siya. It keeps coming back to her and it was making her frustrated pero kahit anong gawin niya. She can't just do it with any other girl.

Wala siyang ibang gusto kung hindi ito. Tori is the center of the universe for her. Kahit wala itong gawin. Kahit tumayo lang ito sa harap niya.

She can picture a thousand scenario in her head over in over again of what they should be doing together. Hindi yung ganito na lagi lang siyang nakatingin dito. Tori felt so near yet so far.

Sa tuwing may sleep over sila. She was really trying her hardest not to kiss or cross the line.

Roni unconsciously put a hand to her aching heart. Hindi niya magawang umalis sa friendzone. Mukhang ma-s-stuck na ata siya.

"Roni! Join me!"

Tori grabbed her hands. Nagpatianod na lang siya dito dahil hindi niya din naman matitiis ang pag papa cute nito sa harap niya. It was too much for her. Baka mahalikan niya ito kapag inulit pa nito ang ginawa nito kaninang pag pout.

"But I can't really dance that well Tori." Hindi niya alam kung sayaw bang matatawag ang tumayo sa harap nito at iwagayway na parang tanga ang mga kamay niya.

"Oh gosh. You are always complaining. Maybe because you haven't had a girlfriend since forever!"

Pinanlakihan niya ito ng mata. Hanggang ngayon kasi ay hindi sekreto dito na wala siyang girlfriend. "Don't tease me about that."

Palagi kasi nitong sinasabi na kaya daw siya grumpy lagi ay dahil virgin pa siya at walang gf. Kung gusto niya ay pwede naman talaga siyang mag karoon ng girlfriend but she didn't because everytime someone confesses to her. She turns them all down. Mapa-lalake o babae.

"I-I like you Veronica. Please go out with me."

The girl in front of her is clearly shaking. Ni hindi ito makatingin sa mukha niya. Hindi niya tuloy alam kung totoo ang confession nito sa kanya. May sinama pa itong mga kaibigan na nasa di kalayuan mula sa kanila na laging nililingon ng babaeng nasa harap niya.

Pang ilan na ba itong babaeng nag confess sa kanya? Roni wants to roll her eyes. Yes, she is looking for a girlfriend pero yung kaisa isang babaeng gusto niya ay hindi naman niya makuha kuha.

"Look. Cheska."

"Y-Yes?" Nag angat ito ng mukha nito. The girl is cute. May itsura din naman ito, but she can't really do this. Ayaw niyang may masaktang iba dahil alam niyang hindi pa siya nakaka move on kay Tori. It's best if she broke Cheska's heart right her right now.

"I'm sorry, pero you are not my type. At all."

Nanlaki ang mga mata nito sa sinabi niya and tears started pouring out of her eyes. The girl put a hand to her face and started running away from her. Naiwan pa nito ang love letter nito.

Roni sighed. Kahit naaawa siya ay hindi naman niya maiwasang hindi ito tanggihan. She wasn't really ready for anything at all. Maliban na lang kung si Tori na ang mag sabi sa kanya na gusto nitong magkaroon ng relasyon sa kanya.

Then there's also another one from a guy.

"Roni. I may not be your type pero baka ako na ang mag pa bago sa sexuality mo. Just give me a chance."

"Who says I'm gonna change my sexuality?" Roni can't help but raise her voice. This arrogant guy in front of her is one of her teammates in mixed soccer at halata namang may gusto sa kanya sa simula pa lang.

"B-But you are a beautiful girl Roni. You should be with someone like me----"

She walked out before the guy can say anything, pero persistent ito at hinabol pa siya.

"Wait Roni!" Hinawakan nito ang braso niya. Uminit bigla ang ulo niya, kaya naman ng hinarap niya ito. Her knees hit the spot where it hurts the most.

Iniwan niya ito doon na namimilipit sa sakit.

Roni was snapped out of her thoughts ng hawakan ni Tori ang kamay niya. Tori swayed it back and forth while making her dance too. She swayed her hips too kagaya ng pinapagaya nito.

"Yes! You are doing it right Roni!" Nag pagiling giling pa ito sa harap niya.

Nakagat ni Roni ang labi niya. Bakit iba ata ang dating sa kanya?

"C-Can we just stop. Hinihingal na ako sayo eh." Roni sat in the couch.

Huminto ito sa pag sayaw at pilya siyang nginitian. Tori even bit her lip. "Bakit napagod ba kita?"

Roni threw her head back laughing dahil tinaas baba pa nito ang kilay habang sinasabi iyon.

"You're such an egoist Tori."

"I know that's why you love me." Tumalon ito sa couch at dinaganan siya. Hindi siya naka-react agad dahil napahinto siya sa sinabi nito. A-Alam na ba nito? Does Tori know what she feels?

"Tori...I---"

"I'm joking Roni. Relax!" Tinapik pa nito ng ilang beses ang balikat niya. "I know you won't like me. Isa pa para na kitang kapatid. That would be incest."

Bumukas ang bibig ni Ronnie. She wants to say something in rebuttal but her words caught in her throat. Her tears threatning to fall. Shit! Why do things like this are hard? Ganito baa ng naramdaman ng mga taong tinanggihan niya? Just because she wants Tori's love and affection?

Roni smiled. A sad one. "Alam ko." You will never feel the same way the way I feel about you. And it hurts Tori. It hurts so much.

"Roni?" Tori looked at her strangely. Is there something on her face? Kita na ba ang lungkot sa mukha niya?

Someone please!

Shit! She can't even look in Tori's eyes or her tears will fall. Then her phone started ringing. Agad siyang lumayo kay Tori at kinuha ang cellphone sa lamesa niya.

"Hi. Hon." Roni never thought that she could be this happy hearing Honey's voice.

"Can you meet me? I've got somethings to pick up at the store. Meet me at our meeting place."

"Y-Yeah. Ok." Roni held her head high and wipe her eyes. Nilingon niya saglit si Tori para di nito makita ang namumuong luha sa mga mata niya.

'Who's that?' Tori mouthed it.

'Honey.'

Tori's mouth formed an O then it quickly settled into a frown. Alam niyang ayaw nito kay Honey simula pa lang but Honey is a constant thing in her life. Kaya naman wala itong magawa kundi i-tolerate ang presensiya ni Honey.

Roni smiled a little. Sometimes she thinks that Honey and Tori can get along well if they are not hostile towards each other.
