Chapter 10

Naglalakad si pasilyo ng building ni Kiel si Vexena nang may mapansin siya sa isang conference room.

She saw Kiel kissing someone— kissing his secretary. "What an awful scene. Tsk."

She just shrugged and continue to walk. She needs to see Joseph in his new office before she leaves. Kailangan niya kasing umalis ng Manila.

Kumatok muna siya sa pinto. "Hello Seph! How was your new office?"

He wiggled his brows. "Fantastic. What are you doing here, sexy Vexy?"

Napailing siya. "Nothing much. Just want to inform you that i have to go back to Palawan."

"For what?" Kunot-noo nitong tanong.

"Annulment papers." Maikli niyang sabi.

"Oh. I thought you asked Kiel for it? Are you on a hurry?"

Nginitian niya lang si Joseph at hindi na ito sinagot. Alam niya naman na alam na nito kung bakit. Ofcourse, ayaw asikasukin ni Kiel ang annulment nila.

"Well.. I decided that i should be the one to work for it. I'm done waiting."

"If you say so. When are you coming back? I need you to meet someone. He'll be the in-charge here in Kiel's Co. I cannot do both aside from my own company, i'm still working on the stuff."

"Less than a week, Seph. By the way, who's he? Do i need to know him? I'm fine as long as this man is working with you. I think maaasahan ko siya."

Panatag siya sa bawat desisyon ni Joseph. She knows she's in safe side.

Tumayo si Joseph at lumapit sakanya.

"I'm overwhelmed Vexy. But still, I need you to meet him. Just this one please? Aside from meeting him i need you to tell all the instructions and light advises to him."

"Alright." She then smiled. "Tell him to meet me after five days."

"Thanks Vexy." He hugged her. "I owe you this one."

Pabiro niyang pinalo ang likod nito.
"Ano ka ba! I should be the one to thank you. Andami mo ng naitulong sakin."

"Nah. That's nothing.. Anyway, sigurado ka na ba talaga sa pagkuha nitong kumpanya? Hindi ka ba magiisip ulit?" He wants to make sure.

"Yes Joseph. I am hundred percent sure." There's a glint of eagerness in her eyes.

"Right. I'm on your side. Pero sana bago ka gumawa ng hakbang, make sure na walang ibang madadamay na iba." Paalala nito.

"I know Seph. After all, akin naman talaga 'to."
She doesn't want to feel bad in front of the others. Kahit na may konting kirot pa rin kapag naaalala niya ang lahat.

She knew na hindi lang si Kiel ang masasaktan. Damay pati ang ama niya. Maging ang mga tumutulong sa mga ito.

Before, she's used of being the dumbest, battered, weakest, and cry baby. But look what she is now.

Ang layo na ng narating niya para hindi gawin ang dapat na gagawin niya. She may be the most naive during her time with her husband and family, but everything happens for a reason— ika nga nila.

Hindi na niya kaya pang balikan ang mga naranasan niya sa kamay ng mga ito. Ayaw na niyang makita ang dating Vexena Eunice Luna- Boue. She despise her for being so helpless and weak.

Sinundan ng tingin ni Joseph ang kaibigan hanggang sa paglabas nito ng pinto.

He deeply inhaled. "The thought of what you are right now give me chills, Vexena. Ayokong pati ikaw ay mapuno na rin ng galit."

After a few ring, his call got answered.
"How was everything, Lucas? I want an update. Talk."

"Hello to you too. Tss." Ganting bati ng nasa kabilang linya. "Confirmed bro." Napapikit siya ng mariin.

"Continue Lucas." He said while bitting his lower lip and his other hand is playing with the pen."

Lucas sighed. "He's currently in worst place ever. Dude, akala ko ba matikas 'to? Then why is he here? Tsk."

He didn't answer the question. "Keep on following him, bro. And i want an update as soon as possible."

"Tsk. Copy BOSS!" He just ignored about Lucas sarcastic answer. "Thanks bro. I owe you this one."

"It's not free. I want your five percent share in Mickhael's." Natawa pa ang kabila. "Gotta go. I'm fucking busy right now because someone is asking for my oh-so-precious time."

Joseph went silent for awhile. Thinking of what could've been happened if the situation before is not what it is before.

He shook his head and continue to work.

Maybe it's true. "You will only know what will happen, after you decide."

Pagkalapag na pagkalapag pa lang ng ni Vexena sa kanilang bahay sa Palawan ay agad na niyang tinawagan ang kanyang attorney.

"Good evening attorney. Sorry to disturb you at this late time." Bungad niya dito pagka sagot ng tawag niya.

"Good evening rin Mrs.Boue, how can I help you? I'm sure it's something important that's why you calling at this late hour."

She smiled. "Yes, very. I want you to file my annulment. I want it done in a short period of time. Can you do that?"

"Who am I to say no? Ofcourse. I'll do that. Just give me a day or two and the papers is yours." Attorney replied.

"That's good. Thank you attorney. I'll see you after your deadline." Then she cut the line.

She went to the kitchen and make her own food. Nanay Lorna is back in Manila since there is where she is hired, originally.

Kailangan lang namin noon si Nanay Lorna because no one can manage this huge house. It's not like I don't do households and stuffs— kailangan lang talaga because of her husband and her father.

Being alone in this house is torture. This property belongs to them. A conjugal property.

Sayang ang ganda ng bahay na 'to kung walang mamamahala nito. For sure Kiel won't mind if she will have it for sale.

She smirked at the thought. "Hmm. Hindi na masama ang kikitain ko dito. Ido-donate ko na lang sa orphanage ng may pakinabang naman ito. This house is a cursed. Might as well sell it for a good reason in return."

She then hurriedly finish her meal before posting up a house for sale on the website.
