A/n: sugiliteShadow has asked for more reverse mythological mayhem. I'm sorry this one came out short.
I WILL BE CLOSING REQUESTS AS OF MAY 21st. I HAD TO CHANGE THE DATE BECAUSE I COMPLETELY FORGOT MY SISTER IS GOING INTO SURGERY ON TUESDAY AND I'LL BE TAKING CARE OF HER UNTIL SHE'S BACK ON HER FEET. I WILL STILL DO THE REQUESTS I HAVE ALREADY RECEIVED.
Love you all!!!

~(Y/n)'s POV~I hissed in pain as I stepped on a jagged rock and felt it through my shoe. "Stupid volcano..."
Noctis glances over his shoulder at me with a smirk. "Not use to climbing, (Y/n)?"
I stuck my tongue out at him as we trekked up a steep incline trying to reach the royal tomb that rested atop the Rock of Ravatogh. My legs were screaming in pain and my feet were definitely going to have blisters on them after this insane hike.
For the hundredth time, I had slid and Ignis caught me before I fell. I thanked him every time he kept me from falling and hurting myself. After almost another messy spill, Noctis held my hand and helped me the rest of the way.
At the top, we reached a haven out of all things. With nothing on us, we passed the haven and walked down the narrow pathway we found just adjacent of the haven. From here, I could see a large nest with eggs. Fortunately, the Zu that called this place home was wandering the Leide region and was nowhere in sight.
Dropping down from the enormous nest, we spotted a pathway to the right. "It's gotta be that way," Prompto said.
"Only one way to find out," Gladio stated.
We walked the small path and at the end lied the royal tomb. Curiosity got the best of me and I peered over to edge. "That... That is a long way down..."
Noctis opened the door to the royal tomb and entered, claiming his ancestor's power. As he left, a tremor shook the ground beneath us. The shaking grew in magnitude and I almost lost my balance. Glancing down, I saw cracks where I was standing. They expanded as I tried to take a single step forward. "U-Um, guys?"
The tremor ceased, but the cracks kept growing under my feet. Noctis was the first to hear my shaky voice and looked to where I was staring. "(Y/n), don't move."
"Didn't plan on it," I responded.
"The moment you shift your weight, the ground will collapse," Ignis said.
"T-Then what should we do?" Prompto sounded just as frightened as I was.
Noctis took a step towards me, making sure not to step too close and cause the ground to give out underneath me. "Give me your hand, (Y/n)."
Slowly, I reached out to grab his hand. As our hands were about to connect, another tremor occurred and the ground fell from under my feet. A gasp slipped from my lips as my body fell. Noctis lunges forward, desperately trying to grab my hand before I fall out of reach. His hand missed by an inch and I watched as he got smaller. "(Y/n)!"
My (h/c) locks whip around my face as I fell. Terror had frozen my vocal cords, not even letting me scream as I plummeted downwards. When I glanced to where I fell, what I spotted shocked me even more than fear. Noctis had jumped after me, but what I saw next made me bite my tongue. The boy had turned into a dragon with sable scales.
I desperately wanted to scream out at the sudden revelation, but I knew now wasn't the time. The dragon drew closer, reaching out towards me. The beast spread its wings to slow its descent as it gently caught me in its paw. Even though I was just falling to my death, I was more curious about Noctis and ran my hand over his scales as he flies us to safety.
Back at the base of the volcano, Noctis sets me down on my back as I was too shaken to stand on my legs. In his larger form, he glanced down at me with worry as he loomed over my body. He lowered his head and I stroked his muzzle with shock still present on my face.
Due to seeing I was still in shock, Noctis transformed back to his human self. His hands were on either side of my head while his knees were located by my thighs. "Are you okay, (Y/n)?"
My mouth opened and closed a few times before I answered his question with my own. "W-What was that?!"
"Uh... um..."
"It was so... cool! Why didn't you tell me you could do that?!"
"I expected you to be angry."
"At that? No! I'm your girlfriend. It's hard to even get a little mad at you," I smile. "You should totally let me ride on your back."
"(Y/n), you almost fell to your death and this is what we're talkin' about?" He asked with an arched brow.
"Yes! It's not everyday you see your boyfriend turn into a dragon!"
Noctis chuckled and leaned down, resting his forehead against my shoulder. "You are, by far, the weirdest girl I've ever met."
"Guess my weirdness wasn't enough to keep you away," I snicker.
"Nah, it just makes you more adorable." He raises his head and stares into my (e/c) eyes with a smile.
"Aw, how sweet, Noct. Even though we have some alone-time right now, what about the others?"
"Oh, damn. I forgot we left them by the royal tomb," Noctis confesses.
"I guess we better contact them if we can." I tried to crawl out from underneath Noctis, but he moved his hands to my wrists, pinning them down beside my head.
He leaned down and pressed a gentle kiss on my lips. "Let them take the long way down. It's been months since we've had this much time by ourselves."
I shook my head with a smirk. "You're horrible."
"They'll be pissed, but if I get time with you out of it, I don't care what lecture I get from Specs."
Noctis released my wrists and I wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling him in for another kiss. This time, it was filled with passion and lasted until our lungs were screaming for oxygen.
An hour later, the others made it back to the car and Noctis got a lecture from the royal advisor after they had made sure I was uninjured. I couldn't help but laugh as I saw the bored expression on Noctis' face as Ignis talked his ear off. After the stern lecture, we left the Rock of Ravatogh.
