~(Y/n)'s POV~

Arriving in Meldacio, the boys headed over to Sania while I chatted with an old friend. Kilio smiled and gave me a friendly hug. "Hey, (Y/n). Haven't seen you in a few months. Everything goin' okay?"

"Yeah, everything's fine," I sigh, crossing my arms.

Kilio pulled on my cheek, grinning. "I know that look. You're pouting. What's wrong?"

"Nothing..." I murmur.

He pulled on my cheek again. "Don't lie to me. I've known you too long to let an obvious lie like that slip by. You can tell me anything."

I sat down on the steps next to Kilio and spilled my feelings. "I have a crush on Ignis, but I can't read his expression. It's frustrating!"

"Love life that bad, eh?" He chuckled. I sent him a glare as I rested my chin in my palm. "Sorry, sorry. How 'bout you make him jealous and see if he reacts?"

"Oh? And what do you propose?"

"A fake kiss should do it," Kilio winks.

I felt I should deny the plan, but then I saw Ignis was looking over this way. I glance back at Kilio and smile. "Let's do it."

Without warning, he pressed a hand against my cheek and our faces were only inches apart. The close proximity had my cheeks burning red and Kilio pretended to kiss me. He obscured Ignis' view slightly so the advisor wouldn't be able to tell the kiss was fake. All Kilio did was kiss me on the cheek quickly, but lingered to make it more believable.

Looking past my childhood friend, I saw Ignis' usual stoic expression. It hadn't changed or altered in any way, shape, or form. I sigh sadly and push lightly on Kilio's shoulders. "Abort the mission. His facial expression hasn't changed since he looked over here."

"Maybe he's a man who doesn't allow jealousy to show? He could be boiling with jealousy underneath that stoic expression. You never know, (Y/n)."

"Thanks for the help, but I think it's impossible for someone so serious like Ignis to get jealous," I sigh.

"(Y/n)!" Prompto yells. The boy was waving me over, signaling it was time to go.

"I'll see you later, Kilio," I said with a smile.

"Hope everything works out. Text me when it does," he stated.

"'When'? Not 'if'?"

"I know a good couple when I see one. You'll be a couple soon. I feel it!" Kilio declares.

I rolled my eyes with a grin. "Whatever you say, Kilio."

-A Week Later-

With the frog hunt successful, we stopped at Burbost Souvenir Emporium and rented out the caravan for the night. As the boys were gathered inside, I headed out to get some fresh air. I walked past the gas pumps and over to the railing, peering down at the foliage below. A few lesser daemons wandered the shadows, but the greater ones were closer to the water's edge.

Someone placed a hand on my shoulder and I jumped from the sudden contact. Turning around, I saw it was Ignis. "Apologies for the fright, (Y/n)."

I placed a hand over my racing heart. "It's alright. I didn't expect someone to follow me out of the caravan."

As we talked, I remembered my conversation with Kilio only a week ago. I leaned against the railing and looked down. Ignis placed his hand on my shoulder in a comforting gesture. "You have been rather quiet this past week. Is there something the matter?"

I clutched the cold metal of the railing tightly. "There is, but... I won't torture you with it."

"Knowing something is amiss and I cannot provide aid is the most tortuous thing, (Y/n)."

I glanced at him from the corner of my eye. "I-It's way too embarrassing..." I shy away and scrunch my shoulders while hiding my red cheeks with my (h/c) hair. When I saw he was reaching out towards me, I took a small side-step to avoid him. I knew Ignis wasn't persistent, but when I felt one of his arms snake around my waist, I was bewildered to say the least. I gasped as he turned my body to face him before pulling me flush against his lean torso.

"I'm aware of your relationship with Kilio, but I must-"

I leaned back a little. "Hold on! You think him and I are dating?"

"His actions the prior week were proof," he said.

"Iggy, Kilio made it look like we were kissing to make you jealous. Did it work? The expression on your face that day didn't show a hint of jealously."

"I was quite envious of him," he confesses.

"You were jealous! Wait, that means..."

Ignis only spoke with actions. He sealed my lips with his, silencing me and conveying his affection. It was a brief kiss, but it still made my entire body melt. After the splendid moment, Ignis stared into my (e/c) with passion. "I am usually not one to act upon feelings. I apologize for forcing this upon you so abruptly."

"Don't apologize, Iggy. I love you, too. Guess Kilio's plan worked after all. He'll be wanting the details," I giggle. "Do the others know?"

"Yes. They were the first to identify my feelings."

"Of course I'm the only one who doesn't notice," I sigh. "You're just too difficult to read, Iggy."

"While I may be an arduous read, you are quite facile," he grinned slightly.

"Am I really that predictable?" I ask, tilting my head to the side.

Ignis chuckled, "Quite."
