Chapter 13 - Lets Make a Baby.

*2 Months Later*

It had been decided.

It took me a lot, to be convinced that this was the right thing to do.

But having Lissa, Dimitri and Christian all ganging up on me. Telling me all the benefits and the negatives. Drilling everything into my head. With all that on my mind, the decision had been made. So here I stood, in front of the door that would determine my whole future. There was only one shot to get this right. But I trusted Lissa. Everything was going to be fine. I took a deep breath and went in.

I walked in and immediately saw Lissa and Dimitri, standing in the middle of the room near a sofa. This was a special room, filled with flowers and  tree's. It was almost looked like someone, cut a piece of forest and put it down in this room. I guess this would allow Lissa, to draw as much spirit from her surroundings as she needed to perform the change.

" You ready for this Rose?" Asked Lissa with excitement clear in her voice.

"Ready as I will ever be to have my DNA changed, to be able to have a baby." I replied sounding as confident as I possible could.

Lissa gestured for me to sit down, I did as I was told and sat in the middle of Dimitri and Lissa.

"Ok, I'm going to start. You'll feel spirit, the normal hot and cold feeling. You might feel some discomfort and even some pain but I will try my best."

I winced a little, but grabbed on to Dimitri's hand. He squeezed it a little to offer me support.

Lissa winked at me, then placed a hand over my heart and another on my back. I then saw the immense amount of concentration on her face.

Then I felt it, the hot and cold feeling, that I was used to. However just as I  was getting used to it, the feeling intensified and suddenly it wasn't nice anymore. It was a painful feeling. I grabbed Dimitri's hand tighter for support, and he squeezed it back to encourage me.

Lissa kept her eyes shut. I guess it was not to see me in pain, and to concentrate better.

This kept going for about 30 minutes, and as the minutes passed the pain intensified. Then slowly Lissa opened her eyes, and took her hands away from me, as she did so the pain was gone.

"That's it, its all done." She tried to sound positive. But I could feel, and clearly see just how weak she was.

"How are you feeling Lissa?" I asked concern clear in my voice.

" I'm ok, just tired. But I was already expecting it. Seriously Rose, don't look so sad and concerned. I'll be fine, I'll just go and lay down. Plus I have the next two weeks off to rest. And so do you both, you're off duty. Now wait at least 1 day before you try to conceive. But Dimitri make sure she's very well rested. Let me know if you need more time. I want to be the first to know when my godchild decides to show up." She said sounding positive and hopeful. I quickly gathered what she was hopeful about.

"Of course you and Christian can be the godparents I wouldn't want anyone else, and neither would Dimitri." I replied to her unasked questions.

"Thank you so much Lissa. You don't know just how happy you've made us. How can we ever repay you.?" Dimitri spoke up, his voice full of gratitude.

"Just let me and Christian be godparents and we will called it even."

"Of course I wouldn't have anyone else be godparents to our little miracle baby."

She smiled, and with that Christian, who I hadn't realised had entered the room, was carrying her away. I tried to speak, but no voice come out. I was so tired, it felt like I had gotten, 100 stragoi beatings.

"Come on lets get you to bed." With that Dimitri, scooped me up bridal style and took me to our room.

We just stared at each other, hopeful for the future. I then just drifeted into a dream of a beautiful baby girl, Dimitri and I standing in a beautiful garden.

Now finally that dream was closer than ever.
