Chapter 10 - Dinner

Don't forget guys this chapter is divided into two ans the second part brings a big decision with it. I'm putting it up in the next hour or so :) Enjoy!

We were a little late for dinner. But I knew Lissa wouldn't mind, she knew I still wasn't up to full speed, but I was getting there. We reached her place in 5 minutes, we were the only guardians allowed to live so close to the Queens quarters, but that's how I want it and Lissa too, this way we were always there if need be.

Dimitri knocked on the door, and we heard excited giggles heading our way. As the door opened, there stood Andre and Rosie, excitement all over their faces. They wanted to jump into my arms like they always did, but since my injury all that was out of the cards. So I went down to their level.

" Get over here you two and give your auntie a hug."  With that they both ran towards me and rapped their arms around me, and I hugged them back. I had really missed them. Since being off guard duty I didn't see them as much. Once again images of me, Dimitri and a beautiful baby girl crept into my mind. I quickly shook those fantasies away. That's all they would ever be. Fantasies.

" We''ve really missed you and uncle Dimitri to, we wanted to stay with you but mommy and daddy said we couldn't. " Said Rosie with a worried look on her face.

"It's ok Rosie, uncle Dimitri never left so I wasn't alone. " I reassured her, and winked at Dimitri.

"Of course he didn't, uncle Dimitri keeps his promises." Said Andre with a confident look in his face.

" Are you guys going to hang around the door all night?" We heard Christian's voice coming from the kitchen.

"Alright sparky we're coming."I replied as we headed inside both Christian and Lissa hugged us.

"What's up with the hug sparky? Did you miss me?"

" Of course not Rose, this is just so that Lissa won't tell me off. You see I promised I would be on my best behaviour until you get better."  The words were nice for Christian, but I could hear the amusement and mocking in his voice.

" Of course you did sparky." I turned to Lissa and put on a very serious face.

"Even injured I can handle sparky over here just fine." Lissa smiled and gave us both an  exasperated look. But I could still see the amusement there.

" Come on, lets go and eat before the food gets cold."

We all headed for the dinning room and sat down. We ate and laughed, and just did what families do. I had truly missed this. My family was perfect. Its only missing one thing. Once again I pushed the baby thoughts out of my mind.

After dinner it was bed time for the twins.

"We want uncle and auntie to put us to bed." Informed Rosie.

So Dimitri and I looked at each other and picked them up one of the twins for each of us. We ran up the stairs with them laughing all the way. We put them to bed and read them their favourite story. Soon enough they were asleep, so we headed downstairs and into the living room.

Both Lissa and Christian sat on sofa. Their faces were serious but nervous at the same time.

" We need to talk, come and sit down." Was all Lissa said.
