Chapter 25- Heed My Warning!

"Please sit, my name on Ana. Would you like anything to drink?"

"No we just really want to know, what's going on and get out of here. I don't really believe in fortune tellers any way." At this she really laughed, and both me and Dimitri frowned. What the hell is this woman playing at.

Then suddenly, another women entered the room. I gasped at the sight. This woman was a Moroi. She was tall, with fair skin, blonde, with bleu eyes. She was beautiful.

"Hello there, my name is Claire, and the fortune teller isn't Ana, it's me." She said her voice soft as velvet. I looked at her with weary eyes, urging her to explain.

"I don't know what, you're playing at but you either start taking or we are both leaving." I said with an undertone of warning on my voice.

"Calm down Roza, I feel her getting anxious." Dimitri warns me, about Alyssa's feelings. They have been getting stronger. Once Alyssa gets happy, or anxious or has any other emotion, we feel her, and right now I was feeling her anxiety. I had to calm down, for my baby's sake.

"You're bond is that strong, my visions were right." I gasped again, this woman knew a lot, and she was really starting to piss me off. Calm, Rose think of Alyssa. At that thought and with a couple of deep breaths I manage to calm myself.

"You either explain yourself within the next two minutes or me and Rose are leaving." Dimitri spoke up, his voice cold.

"I'm sorry, I'll explain. You see I'm a spirit user and as part of that, I get flashes of the future. I know about Alyssa. I've seen a lot of your future. You see I used to, tell my visions to the court, but bad things come of that and so I went into hiding. I come out of hiding to warn you. Alyssa is very important to everyone, so I decided that this was important enough to come out of hiding for."

"Ok that's quite a story, but how do we know that you're telling us the truth?" I asked wearily.

"You will be one week overdue on your delivery date, once that happens you'll know that what I say is true. You see your baby will be bathed in the purest light of them all. You'll feel it once you hold her. But there is a dark evil rising against your baby, and even the purest light can be touched by evil. Love her everyday, don't ever let her doubt herself. Make her strong, like both of you. Be ready, when she comes of age everything changes."

With that, I had had enough. I walked out into the sunlight, and Dimitri followed closely.

Neither of us said a word. We didn't need to. He pulled me close and kissed me hard.

"We'll get through this. We'll keep Alyssa safe, no matter what. As long as we are together, we can do anything. I love you Roza, I love you Alyssa."

"Life is never going to be easy. But I believe you comrade." I really did believe him.

Plus who was I to believe this loony lady. My baby was a miracle. A strong baby to save our race. But above all she was mine and Dimitri's daughter and together we would get through anything.
