Chapter 22 - Are We Ready For This?

Once again I woke up to the sounds of beeping machines. Jeez! It seemed like I was back at St. Vladimir's, always at the infirmary. The only thing that changed, was the fact that I was now at court, and everything, even the infirmary was now fancier.

I flung my eyes open and looked around, Dimitri sat up in the bed beside me and quickly made his way to my side. Abe walked in also. Dimitri grabbed my hand, and squeezed it lightly, to encourage me.

"What happened Abe, you told me I  would be ok, is my baby ok please tell me she's ok." I asked, with a dry voice.

"I know. The baby is fine. But Alyssa is the choosen one. She can use all 5 elements including spirit, and she's very strong. I've  never seen any unborn baby as strong. Her instinct was to protect the both of you, but because she's not born yet she can't draw energy from herself or nature. So she drew it, from you Rose and you Dimitri. Her bond to you both is strong. Very strong, and once she is born, she will link the three of you together. You Rose, Dimitri and Lissa will be able to sense each others feelings, and know immediately when you're in trouble."

"So the four of us will be bonded? That's not possible, is it?" Asked Dimitri, with a worried expression on his face.

"No you won't be bonded. You will just be able to feel, when each other is in trouble. This will be helpful, because until she reaches at least the age of 16 Alyssa won't have her full powers. She will have to train to be a Dhampir, but she won't be anyone's guardian, instead she will be guarded. She will be the most important baby ever born in our world, you two ready for this?"

"Yes!" We both answered with no hesitation, at the same time. I guess this might mean we may have to step down as guardians, and guard our little miracle baby.

We stared into each others eyes, and all we saw was pure determination, and pure love. We will do anything for this baby.

"Ok you two have fun on your honey moon, it's all set up, and enjoy your new home. Its safer than the Queens house. Only the best for my two babies." Abe said. With all the commotion we hadn't been able to go on our honeymoon, so we had finally decided it was time, before the baby came. We we're going away for the weekend on a private yacht. Yeah, Abe hadn't spared one dime. This was the safest solution away from stragoi. We would be at sea during the night, and be able to go out during the day.

It was planned. A doctor was coming a chef, and a waitress, plus a cleaner. We were going to be weighted on hand and foot, like royals.

What could go wrong?

Then again that was a dangerous question to ask.

What did you guys think about thus chapter??

Excited about the honeymoon? Lots of Rose and Dimitri.  Plus sides of them that you've never seen. After that we have a baby on the way.
