Abella's pov~

I stood in the kitchen, face smothered with some kind of icing that Alex had been using to put over a chocolate cake. Eliana had visited early and gave Alex cooking lessons, baking a cake was the lesson of the day. But instead of letting us keep the cake, Eliana took it home and insisted that Alex bake his own. I decided to help Alex with the baking and not just because I was afraid of him burning down my house.

Somehow, we had managed to finish baking the actual cake, but Alex decided that it would be fun to plaster my face with vanilla icing.

"You jerk." I laughed, tossing a handful of flour at him. Alex grinned, dodging the flour before he wrapped his arms around my waist and picked me up. "Put me down!" I begged, laughing loudly as I struggled to free myself from his tight grasp. Alex simply shook his head and carried me toward the table, setting me down on the edge.

Alex smiled and leaned forward, capturing my lips with his own. He placed his hand on the small of my back and pulled my closer, a smile quickly formed on his lips. "You're cute when you're mad." He mumbled, his thumb gently brushing over my right cheek. I grinned, reaching for the small bag of flour behind me. My hand scooped up a handful of the power, distracting Alex with a gentle kiss.

Just as he pulled away, I couldn't fight the smug smile on my lips. "Payback." I whispered and threw the handful of flour into his face. Alex jumped, tripping over his own feet as he fell onto the floor. Laughing hysterically, I jumped off the table and grinned proudly at the flour covered man lying on my kitchen floor.

Alex sat up, using his hands to wipe away the flour that covered his eyes. He wiped away the powder on his jeans, a serious expression overcame his features. His eyes flickered to me, the mischievous look silenced me instantly. I quickly hurried out of the kitchen, actually frightened by what he might do.

"You're gonna get it, Bella!" Alex shouted from the kitchen. I laughed, running down the hallway until I reached my bedroom. I quickly shut the door behind me and looked around the room, searching for a place to hide. There wasn't many places to chose from so I ended running into the bathroom and hiding in the shower. I'll admit, it wasn't a very good place to hide since the shower door was clear, but I simply covered the glass with a huge towel, leaving only the floor in view.

Stifling a quiet laugh, I covered my mouth with my hand and sat as still as humanly possible. I couldn't hear the sound of Alex's footsteps, which made me consider the fact that he might have been waiting outside of my bedroom. But I was quickly proven wrong once I saw the shower door swing open, a grinning Alex stepping inside the small space. My eyes flickered to his hand, a small gasp escaped my mouth once I saw the bag of flour in his grasp.

"N-No," I stuttered, quickly standing up from the cold shower floor. I raised my hands in surrender, biting my lip as I eyed the bag of flour with cautious eyes. "Don't you dare, Alex."

He simply laughed, ignoring my plead as he took a step forward, forcing me to take a step back until I was pressed against the wall. My breathing hitched, noticing how little distance was put between us, not that I minded. Alex placed his hand over my hip, slowly leaning forward with his eyes dead set on my lips. "Payback's a bitch." He whispered and before I could register his words, my face was covered with white flour.

"You jerk!" I laughed, wiping away the flour from my lips.

Alex grinned, still laughing softly. "Lemme help you with that." He licked his lips and leaned forward, pressing our mouths together. The way our lips molded perfectly together almost made me forget about the fact that my face was covered in flour.
