He paced around the living room, his fingers tugged at his messy hair and his eyebrows furrowed together in frustration. Alex knew that Abella wasn't gone for good, the proof was in the many things she had left behind. The only items that were actually gone were a couple of items of clothing from her closet and a few other things. Alex couldn't quite understand why Abella would chose to leave only a week before she started college. He couldn't understand why she even chose to leave in the first place.

Alex had an idea of where Abella had gone off too, but he wasn't completely positive that it was the right place. The only place he could think of her leaving to was London, but he needed to make sure that she had gone off to London. He didn't want to end up buying an expensive ticket, just to find out that she wasn't even there.

The only way Alex could be one hundred percent sure was if he called someone and they verified that she was there with them.

Although Alex didn't want to talk to her, he realized that the only person who could give him an answer was Valeria. The two's last encounter didn't end well, not that Alex had been surprised by that. Her number had been saved to his phone only in case Valeria needed help with Myra, and Abella wasn't able to be reached. That was the only reason Alex didn't hesitate to save the woman's number in his contacts.

He sighed as he sat down on the couch and pulled out his cellphone from his pocket. Jeffrey watched him closely, wondering what Alex was going to do next. This had been the longest time the two had gone in the same room without arguing. Both men had put aside their petty feud and decided to work together to find Abella, although neither acknowledged this.

"I'm calling Abella's aunt," Alex answered Jeffrey's silent question as he dialed Valeria's number, "she's the only one who would know if Abella's in London right now."

Jeffrey nodded and the two men sat in a thick silence for a couple of seconds. The line rang a few times before Valeria picked up, her venomous voice sent chills down Alex's spine. He silently prayed that Abella was in London and this phone call wouldn't turn out to be a pointless waste of time.

"Hello?" Valeria spoke loudly.

"Valeria," Alex sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose, "it's me, Alex Gaskarth."

Valeria scoffed from the other end. Alex could already picture her rolling her eyes in annoyance. "You know, you have some nerve calling here," she spat, anger dripped from her tone, "after what you did to Abella, I have to resist flying down there and kicking your ass myself." He felt annoyed that Abella had told Valeria about what happened between them, but at the same time; he knew he couldn't blame her.

Alex chuckled dryly, feeling a bit amused by the woman's voice. He couldn't imagine the older woman trying to throw punches at him, like any of this actually scared him. He didn't feel threatened by her words, because he really couldn't care less what she thought of him. He didn't call her to argue with her again, he just needed answers.

"Lovely to hear your voice too," he rolled his eyes, "but, unfortunately, I don't have time to chat. I need to know if Abella's there with you."

"Why in the hell do you expect me to tell you?" She asked.

Alex sighed and buried his face in one hand, his fingers gripped on the cellphone. "Because I love her and I need to make things right with her." He said, although he already had the answer he was searching for. If Abella really wasn't there in London, Valeria would have said "no" instead of asking him why he deserved to know.

The line went silent for a few seconds and if it wasn't for the sound of a television running in the background, Alex would have assumed that Valeria had hung up. He didn't really expect to win Valeria over with his words, so when she started shouting profanities at him, Alex didn't feel all that surprised.

"You're bloody insane if you honestly believe that I will tell you where my niece is!" She shouted, "After leaving her like you did, I don't understand why you think she'd ever take you back, or I would help you find her. You're sick, Alexander. You are fucked up if you actually belie-"

Alex sighed and ended the call, tired of Valeria's endless rambling. He placed the phone on the surface of the table and sunk deeper into the couch, his eyes closed shut. Exhaustion surged through him and although he really needed some rest, he felt like packing all his things and flying to London at that instant. The only problem was that plane tickets were expensive, last minute plane tickets even more pricey than the regulars.

By the look on Alex's face, Jeffrey could only assume the worst. He had felt the same amount of concern and anger that Alex was feeling. He felt angry that Abella had left without telling anyone where she was heading off too, or why she was leaving. He felt angry that she left without even saying so much as a simple 'goodbye'. He felt angry that she had left without even telling him that she would be taking some time off at the publishing house.

All his anger, however, was overpowered by pure concern. He needed to know where she was and if she was okay. He would do anything for a proper answer.

"She's in London," Alex cut off Jeffrey's thoughts, "there's no doubt about that. My guess is that she's staying with her family at their old house."

"Okay," Jeffrey nodded and stood up, dragging his large hands over his face, "I'll call my assistant and arrange the earliest flight to London-"

"You're not coming." Alex frowned, shaking his head.

"Why the hell not?" Jeffrey asked, slightly offended. He didn't know why he expected a bit more from Alex, seeing as the two men were practically mortal enemies. He blamed all the time he had been spending with Joey lately, his brother had made him soften up a bit.

Alex rolled his eyes and shook his head once again. He really didn't like the idea of spending a few hours on a plane sat next to Jeffrey. He didn't want him in London with Abella, he wanted to be the one to bring her back.

"Because this is my business, not yours." He snapped.

"Have you forgotten that I love her too?" Jeffrey shouted, anger surged through his body. He felt enraged that Alex was refusing to let him join his trip to London. But in the end, it really didn't matter since they both knew that Jeffrey would be the one to pay for the trip. "She's just as important to me as she is to you!"

Alex jumped up from the couch, his face red with anger and his fist clenched tightly to his sides. He didn't want to fight Jeffrey again, but he was really starting to push his luck with him. No one but Jeffrey himself understood how strong his love was for Abella was, but to Alex; his love for Abella was incomparable. He could never love anyone but her, this was something he was certain of. She was the only girl he could spend days with and never once tire of her company. No one compared to Abella Rodriguez.

"Fight me if you want," Jeffrey muttered under his breath, fully aware of Alex's anger. However, he wasn't the least bit threatened. Alex never once scared him and he never would. "But you need to realize that you're not the only one who holds feelings for Abella. You're not the only one who cares about her and wants to make sure she's okay. If you're so sure that Abella loves you, then you wouldn't be so fucking insecure and jump on every guy who tries to even say hello." He spat before heading toward the front door, not even bothering to take in Alex's surprised expression. "I'm going to London, whether you want me to or not. So it's your choice; you can either grow up and join me, or you can stay here and wait 'till I come back with Abella."

This is the shortest and crapiest update that will ever be written for this story. This is a filler chapter and I hate uploading chapters that are less than like 3000 words, but it had to be done in order to get the next chapter written a lot quicker. I promise to update soon! Drama is coming ahead guys.
