After a long walk down the ridiculously crowded boardwalk, Sam leaned over and told in her ear that the part of the boardwalk they had just walked was called the 'Black Road' because there was so many people on it in the summer, it looked like a black line from a distance. Then he told her while pointing up ahead that they were going to the Strandpaviljoen called Blue Lagoon...
"Yeah, Sara said something about that." Rashelle told him.
"Oh, ja?" Sam was amused. "What else did you and Sara talk about?" he asked, leaning in closer and holding her tightly against his chest. Rashelle knew what he was digging for.
"Nothing about boys, if that's what you're getting at?" Rashelle told him and he laughed.
"No? I thought that's what girls always talk about?" Sam said, grinning.
"Not always." Rashelle told him. "Usually, but not always." she said and that made him laugh again. And then they were there. The whole of their group all stopped and gathered in front of the big sign that said, 'Blue Lagoon' and as Rashelle grew nearer, she craned her neck to take in all the details.
The front of the beach club was lined with some sort of rolled out bamboo fencing that looked really cool and sitting out directly in front of the entrance were two great big signs - one in Dutch and one in English that read:

Wow! Rashelle thought. They really did reserve the whole place! As they all took turns standing outside the entryway and interacting with the two people standing on either side, Rashelle realized that one of the the people was obviously an employee of the establishment and she was giving out rubber bracelets to everyone before allowing them to enter and the other person seemed to be some sort of security staff. Well, the band was pretty famous! Security was not an uncommon thing wherever they congregated.
"This is so exciting!" Rashelle said to Samuel and wrapped both her arms around his. He just started to laugh at her exuberance and grinned at her. As they approached, she started bouncing up and down, still holding on to his arm. And when they were next, she let go of him and scampered up to the girl giving out bracelets. The girl asked her name and she picked up an ipad and waited. Rashelle looked back at Sam quizzically and he just nodded as if to say that it was okay. She made a worried face and then told the lady her name. After the longest moment ever, the lady said, "Welcome, Rashella. Enjoy the party." and she handed Rashelle her very own bracelet. Rashelle's face lit up and Sam laughed at her again. She was like a kid on Sinterklaas! He thought to himself.
Rashelle admired her bracelet as she waited for Sam to get his. It was made out of silicon with a red, white and black camouflage pattern and the words B-Brave and their logo embossed into it. After inspecting it thoroughly, she put it on and admired it. As soon as Sam was ready, she walked down the steps into the beach club.
"Woah!" she said as she walked in. Sam just smiled and placed his hand on her back as he ushered her slowly across the floor. He enjoyed watching her take it all in. There weren't very many people there yet, a few clusters here and there and they all greeted them as they passed by. There was a small stage set up, a grand piano off to one side. Several guitars lined up on stands beside it, several microphones and a large dj table.
