He let out another, this time shaky breath, and waited. He thought about vivid colors, and how different the world may look from 5 years ago. He thought about his mother and his father, and his brother and two little sisters too. How tender and soft his mother would kiss his forehead, and how his older brother would play with him. A horribly sharp pain hit his side again, and awoken him from his thoughts. He looked at the monitor that read 0 hr 0 min, 0 hr 0 min, 0 hr 1 min.   His soft pale hands reached up into the cold, crisp air, but it collapsed. A dream, no, a memory. Ypolous blinked open his eyes, his ears twitched at the wherry sounds of barking hounds, his tail feeling numb. He looked around the dim room and watched as what seemed like as a hundred dogs in small cages snarled and pushed against their cages, hungry for his blood. Fear never filled in his body so quick. The sound of dogs barking, the deer attacking, the guards chasing, and the gunshot that stuck his side from Samil, this was all too familiar. Ypolous tried to get up, but realized he was going nowhere. Chains wrapped his whole body, a heavy metal collar hung on his neck. "Goood morrninnngggg!" Hero giggled behind him, and grabbed him by his hair. Ypolous yelped loudly and began to cry. "LET GO OF ME!" He growled loudly, and shook his body, rattling the chains. "It took you forever to wake up! Thank god you stayed quiet for the trip though, or else we really would have had to kill you!" Hero giggled more and bent down and sniffed him. "And don't you smell tasty.~" Ypolous snatched his head away. "Where's Sio, where's my family!?"

"HA! That was adorable. How old are you exactly? 10? 12?"

"What did you do with them?! I wanna see them!"

"Oh no, no no no no no. You have no family anymore, remember? They all left you, they abandoned you."

"NO YOU'RE LYING! THEY WOULD NEVER DO THAT! LET ME GO!" He tried to spark his power, but nothing worked. Hero laughed and grabbed the sides of his head. "Oh you're so delusional. Love is fake little boy, no one loves you, no one ever did, and ever will," Ypolous began to scream as Hero squeezed his hands on his head, slowly sucking the sanity from him, and filling it with horror. "T-THAT'S NOT...T-TRUE..!" He screamed, his legs thrashing and his body trembling. Hero smiled and let go of him, then walked around in front of him. "You sure? Hasn't Siopi been leaving you behind? That time he left for months and didn't tell you where he went?"

"He left to save us.. from YOU!"

"Oh but the times he has kept secrets from you, told everyone else? He doesn't treat you like he used to anymore right? The love, tenderness? He's tired of you. He's tired of you running off, being chased, constantly saving you because you can't handle yourself."

"T-that's n-not true..!"

"The first time you met Jeznee? Yessss I was there! She hated you! The only reason she stuck by you was because you forced her! Imagine if you didn't chain yourself to her, she would be living her life happily, not in this mess that YOU started!" Hero's hands returned to his head, and Ypolous screamed more, his head feeling like it was about to explode from the burning of his thoughts going crazy. Hero dropped his head once again and chuckled as Ypolous panted hard and cried. "They do...care.." He mumbled weakly. Hero continued. "The time Santiago found you! He wanted your powers for himself! We are your home, we are your family! And all you ever did was push us away Ypolous! You traded us for the enemy, who wants nothing but your power! You irritate them, and lets not forget, they killed your parents.~" Ypolous lifted his head and looked up at Hero, tears draining from his wide, trauma filled eyes. "W-What..?"

"Oh dear, your 'sister' didn't tell you yet?" Hero's tone shifted to sarcastic pity and empathy, and he playfully pouted his lip. "Family, huh? SHE WAS THE ONE WHO LET YOUR FATHER DIE! IF IT WASN'T FOR HER, THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN ALIVE. IF SHE WOULD HAVE MOVED WHEN TOLD, YOUR MOTHER WOULDN'T HAVE TO WATCH HER FAMILY GET SLAUGHTERED. SHE'S WEAK. HE IS WEAK. YOUR SISTER IS WEAK!" He cackled madly once more and returned his hands onto Ypolous head, sucking the last bit of hope, love and optimistic thoughts he had left. He screamed as his head filled with despair and hatred, his mind grew black and dark, and he said nothing. Heroshine inhaled deeply, with a big grin on his face, and sighed softly. His mind felt lighter, his head clearer. "Ypolous," he called, "You are home now."
