Chapter Nineteen

Let the fun begin.

I followed Blake to a hidden pond. The water was clear and the trees hung above the water, hiding it. Blake and I shifted back and walked up to the water. I slipped off my flip flops and dress. I turned around to see Blake's back. He stood next to the water, staring at it. I walked up next to him and dipped my foot into the water. His eyes snapped towards mine before they roamed down my body. His eyes flashed before he looked away.

"What is that." He growled out at me.

"My bathing suit." I replied and walked into the water. His eyes followed my every movement as I entered the water. The walked into the water until it reached my shoulders. I looked back at Blake who still stood on the shoreline. I rolled my eyes at him.

"Are you just going to stand there the whole time?" I asked him. His eyes shot up to mine before he look away. He slowly walked into water until he stood a few feet away from me. I turned away and looked down into the water. It looked shallow but I know it wasn't. My curiosity got the best of me and I swam down the the deepest part of the pond. I opened my eyes in the water to see tiny fish swimming around the rocks. I began to feel light headed so I swam back up to the surface. Blake still stood in the same spot as he stared at me.

"What." I snapped at him. He didn't say anything so I splashed water at him. That was a bad idea as he started to swim towards me. I started to make my way to the shore to try to escape him. I reached the shore but was pulled back into the water. I was thrown back and my head dunked underwater. I swam back to the surface and got the perfect idea.

"Ow." I said and held my elbow. Blake's expression turned to worry. He rushed over to me to see what was wrong. He looked at my arm before I quickly dunked him in the water. I started to laugh. We messed around with each other until it grew dark. We both shifted and headed back to the cabin. It was dark by the time we arrived at the cabin. We both shifted and walked into the cabin.

"Melanie." Blake called out to me.

"Yeah?" I asked.

"You can get in the shower first." He said and walked into the kitchen. I nodded my head and headed upstairs. I quickly got into the shower before I realized I forgot my shampoo and conditioner. The only other soap was Blake's. I used it quickly and got out of the shower. I put on a big shirt and fuzzy pajama shorts and crawled into bed.

I was almost asleep when Blake opened the door. He walked around to the other side and I felt the bed dip down. He pulled me to his chest and put his head in the crook of my neck. He softly growled and pulled me closer to him if that was even possible.

"Melanie." He said softly. I hummed do he knows I heard him.

"I like my scent on you." He said. A blush worked it way up my neck and I silently scolded myself.

"Goodnight Blake." I said and closed my eyes. I heard him say 'Goodnight Melanie' before I fell asleep.

I kept thinking how normal today felt. There was no responsibilities that we needed to do or no pending war on my pack. It was just... normal. It was a day that I could enjoy being with my mate. As much as i tried to deny it, i knew deep down that something changed today. Something changed in me. I tried to deny it but I can't.

I'm falling for him.
