Ch. 8 Girlfriend

Two weeks flies by fast, training practically being the only thing you do besides go to school. Katsuki has you both on a tight schedule, he even wrote you out a meal plan and sleep schedule, to 'Optimize your performance for the Sport Festival, idiot.' But finally, today was the day of said Sports Festival. You sit in the waiting room with your other classmates, twiddling your thumbs. "Hey, don't be nervous. I mean, don't expect to come in first cause that's gonna be me, but you'll still do good since I trained you." You glare at him slightly, then toss a sideways glance at Todoroki, feeling slightly guilty.

-Earlier that morning-

You got to the sports festival a little early, having came with your dad since he was commentating with Present Mic. As you're walking down one of the halls checking the place out, you hear someone call out your name. "Aizawa!" You spin around, surprised to see Todoroki there already. You two hadn't really talked since the whole phone incident, and since Katsuki was with you nearly all the time you hadn't had a chance to explain what happened, not that it really mattered to you. After seeing how hurt Katsuki was, you didn't really want to be around Todoroki anymore anyways, deciding you never wanted to make him feel that way again.

"Hey, Todoroki..." You smile a little, feeling slightly nervous. "I'm glad I could finally get you alone." He says, stopping in front of you. You gulp, feeling even more nervous now. "What happened that night on the phone? You haven't returned any of my calls or texts.." "Oh, that." You scratch the back of your head, really not comfortable in a situation like this. You usually had Katsuki to get you out of messes like this, but for once you had to figure out what to say for yourself. "About that... Sorry about everything Todoroki, I just.. I decided to train with Katsuki instead." Todoroki's normal calm demeanor falters slightly, and he sighs in frustration. "So he won't let us hang out or what?" Waving your arms in front of your face, you shake your head from side to side. "No no no, it's not like that! He's not stopping me from doing anything.. I just... Uh..." Todoroki looks down at you, sadness and hurt in his eyes now. "Oh, so you just don't want to then...?"

"It's not like that either! Ugh." You cross your arms in frustration. "What is it then? Please Aizawa, I just want a straight answer from you." Todoroki places a hand on your shoulder but you shake it off, not finding the right words to say. "I wanna be friends Todoroki... I just have to figure some stuff out first..." You let the decision out slowly. You didn't want to hurt him and you DID want to be able to have friends you could hang out with besides Katsuki but... Katsuki was so close to you and you felt so much warmer with him than with anybody else. Suddenly you hear footsteps coming from around the corner and Midoriya appears, slightly taken aback at seeing you two. "Oh, Aizawa, Todoroki, you're both here early too???" You sigh in relief, taking this opportunity as an out. "Oh yeah, I just couldn't wait!" You smile walking over to him. You feel Todoroki staring at you from behind. He doesn't bother answering Midoriya, he simply turns around and walks away, a thoughtful look on his face.

-Back to the present-

You notice Todoroki standing up, walking straight in  your direction. You stare at him then look at Katsuki, who has a smug expression on his face. It's then you realize his comment about being the one who trained you must have been directed towards Todoroki. Todoroki stops right in front of the both of you, glaring down at Katsuki. "What do you need, icyhot?" Katsuki asks, annoyance thick in his tone.

"I have something to say."

"Well obviously or you wouldn't be fucking here!" Katsuki laughs, but he's the only one. Everyone else has quieted, staring at the three of you with wide, curious eyes. Todoroki keeps a steady glare on Katsuki, his eyes narrowing even more at his words. "If you can't fucking spit it out, get lost, half and half bas-"
