While she walked across the pavement, with eyes in the back of her head. She allowed herself to drink in her surroundings, the different people and the indistinct chatter. Everything was on over-drive even at six in the morning. Men were dressed in their finest suits with briefcases and girls her age were giggling, minding their own business as boys from another school looked them head to toe.

Then, like normal, she boarded the train and packed on with many other people. She was nearly squished against the window but other than that, she was fine. Her mind was recalling the equations Akira had taught her and the route Yui had advised, she said it would be faster. However, she would have to be aware of her surroundings. Thankfully, due to the crowded area, she felt confident in her own skin, especially as a human in a ghoul world. Yet, being lost in your own makes you lose the ability of being guarded.

A warm hand, like dirt across her skin skimmed the flesh of her thigh. She thought she would be one of those girls to fight back, not take it and scream. But here she was, being felt up by someone she couldn't identify even if she turned around.

The hand felt like filth. Complete and utter disgust enveloped her body and her whole form felt cold, like she had been trapped outside in the harshest winter. As the person went further and further, their fingers just breaking past the elastic barrier of her underwear, she suddenly felt his touch eradicate from her pale skin. She didn't notice she was huddled against the door until her muscles relaxed and she turned around.

Her heart vibrated in her ears, each inch of her body felt like it had a pulse. In the middle of the cart, a normal-enough looking man, was pinned to the floor by another. However, he caught her attention the most. He wore sunglasses that hid his eyes well and his blonde hair was pulled back by an Alice band. His frame was lean and tall and he honestly had Jane in awe. How he managed to part the cluster of people and hold her molester under his foot had the girl mesmerised. Yet, as she came to her stop, knowing her sister would worry if she didn't get off. Jane jumped from the carriage as soon as the doors opened and left. Once she looked back, she swore his eyes met hers underneath the black glasses he was hiding behind. Therefore, she mouthed thank you before sprinting up the stairs.

Uta... For the first time was extremely drawn.

"Oh my God! And what happened next?" Yui squealed in genuine wonder, yet her voice was still laced with disgust.

"This guy... Out of nowhere he pulled the pervert off me and crushed his face under his foot. I swear, it was amazing how he created space for him to do that in such a crowded place",

"And did you say thank you?" Akira asked, plopping the lollipop from her lips before she did so.

"Of course....-" Jane began, however, it turned awkward when she recalled the scene accurately,
"- But, from far away... lip-sinking it... in English".

"Well that's just great! Only you could get saved by a handsome guy and run away" Yui moaned.

"It wasn't my fault. My sister is a teacher here. It's not like she wouldn't notice if I was gone",

"Yes Yui-" Akira interrupted, "- unlike you, Jane doesn't follow guys around like the plague",

"I don't do that!" Yui exclaimed, suddenly banging her hands on the table as she stood abruptly.

"Oh, yes you do",

"Okay... prove it" once Yui crossed her arms with a smirk, Akira knew she had her right where she wanted her.

"What about Yamato and Haru and Akito and-"

"Okay I get it Akira!" She fumbled out with a pout of her lips. Meanwhile, Jane was bursting with laughter as the two fought and grumbled at each other.

They were all smiling that day. Their chatter and giggles were contagious amongst the class. And even some people felt inclined to join in, embracing Jane who was once a mystery to the others. Everything was good, for the better is what Jane repeated in her mind. Yet, meeting the blonde boy... That was far from it.
