"So What is it like? School in England!" Yui asked excitedly as she leaned across Jane's desk.

"It's not so strict and definitely, not as clean" Jane giggled, looking back up to Akira to see her tapping away at her phone.

"Ew! That's sounds terrible. But, I bet the boys were cute" she squealed.

"Sure, But it doesn't make them more than the idiots they are" at that, Yui continued to pester the girl as if she had all the knowledge in the world. Well, that was right up until Akira began to speak.

"What about the ghouls there? Are then any better?" She questioned, finally looking up from her screen.

"Yeah... They're better. That's why I was quite reluctant to come here. I was sort of scared",

"I understand, especially since this is the fourth Ward",

"What makes it so bad anyway?",

"Well-" Yui interrupted, due to ghouls being the only thing she knew a hundred percent, "- there's this big bad ghoul, he goes by 'no face' because no one has actually seen it. He's supposed to run all the ghouls in this ward",

"Sounds interesting",

"Far form it. Ghouls in Japan are worse than the ones in England by far. More sadistic really. We have more binge eaters than any other country-",

"Yui!" With Akira's interruption, the Asian girl looked up to see the pure fear dancing in Jane's light eyes. They were a concoction of green, grey and terror.

"Heh.. Leave it anyway. I've never met a ghoul personally or encountered one. So you'll be okay" Yui smiled right before the bell assaulted Jane's ears, causing her to wince physically.

Throughout the day, while they all sat and worked, Jane couldn't help but draw her sight outside. Despite being seated in the middle of the room, she found the time to day dream. The trees danced and swayed, the sun filtered through the leaves and the sky... It was so blue. Jane indulged in the warm coated day, loving the way the light felt against her skin. Hardly had she experienced something like this in England. Therefore, she ignored the lesson, until the bell went for lunch.

Akira, Yui and Jane sat outside with everyone casting short glances their way.

"Why is everyone staring?" She asked Akira, with her finger twirling a stray strand of hair.

"They are staring because you are new. And a westerner. Don't worry, it will stop soon" she answered. And thus, they went on their way eating and talking.

It was a weird sensation to have friends. She had only been in Japan a week or two and already, everything was changing for the better.

"How was school Janey?" Amber asked with a smile as she pulled out of the school car park.

"It was good. I hung out with Akira and Yui and... I'm actually starting to like it here",

"Well that's good. I wouldn't want you to be bored out of your brain-" she chuckled, "- oh, I want to know if you're okay taking the train to school? Yui and Akira will obviously show you the way but-",

"Why am I taking the train again?" Jane asked,

"I'll have to get into school earlier, so I can't drive you anymore. Plus, this will be a good way to get to know the area".

But, even though Amber was trying to reassure her sister, make this a good thing at least. Jane could only twiddle her thumbs in a nervous manner.

"You mean get to know the area full of ghouls" she whimpered,

"Jane-" she sighed while she pulled in front of the house, "- you're gonna be here for a year and you can't just cling to me... You need to get used to this place... Just promise you will try",

Jane released a huge gulp of air, forcing it from her lungs while she let go of her worries.

"I'll try... I promise".
