Jane remained awake after Uta left. Her whole body needed time to forget him and the sensitive touches that still lingered on her flesh. Yet, her whole frenzy was broken when two light knocks sounded against the wooden door. Quickly, the teenage girl dressed as she stumbled to the bedroom door. As she conjured up a lie amongst her rambling thoughts, she turned the handle and pulled.
"It's Friday morning, I expected you to be up and ready" Amber announced with a smile tickling at her lips.
"My alarm wasn't working. I just woke up",
"Oh, that explains everything... But, what about the bruises?" She then questioned, to have Jane's brows knit together in confusion. She only realised when she turned slightly to see the love bites marking her skin. Her reflection was hectic and she didn't know how to talk this one off.
"Oh... I might've left the window open and got conscious about this fly in my room. It's gone now though, I can just cover the redness with make up" and with that, Jane slammed her door closed.
So much for her indulging in his scent. All Jane could do was mask the evidence of him from the canvas of her body and prepare for school. Uta would of course be waiting for her down at the station, probably with that smile across his face as she approaches.
While she walked down the street with her mouth up-turned into a grin, she recalled last night with a redness staining her cheeks. Jane adored every sensation he had branded into her memory, as well as her heart as it beat faster for him. She couldn't resist the idea of no future with him. However, there was still something gnawing at the corner of her mind. And it screamed run until its voice was raw.

Of course she had to bare with the pain between her legs as she walked. And with the bleeding she wore a pad and thus, everything felt uncomfortable as she approached the covert ghoul.
Uta could smell her from a mile away with her blood's scent diffusing into the atmosphere. She was irresistible and his hunger had only grown worse. His tongue was tempted lap at the exposed flesh of her neck and his teeth were itching to bite into the fat of her thigh. He was starving and after last night, all that was on his mind was the taste of meat.
He should've told her he wouldn't walk her this morning, he should've desired hindsight. But, nothing could've prepared him.
Uta was adamant in hiding whatever he felt. It wasn't obsession any more, he knew from past experience and the word like didn't seem to fit something so rare... And their was that four letter word. Because of it, for the first time his fear was radiating off him.
"Good morning" she smiled while looking up at him seductively. She knew what she was doing to Uta and the girl lived off it.
"Good morning" he answered back with a strained voice. Then, without hesitation, they continued their path to her school with an obvious reluctance.
Uta could already feel her hand in his and her body too close to his own. Yet, not even this could stop the mantra of meat echoing in his mind. It was a spell of torture that plagued his head of cruelty.
"Are even sure school's that important?" Uta suddenly asked as they were about to enter a swarm of humans.
"I've told you before that my sister-",
"I know, but I just need to do something... Just wait for me, I promise you won't be late".
Since Jane's life was built from top to toe with such words, she nodded her head before Uta pulled her from the station and sat her on a nearby bench.
"Uta, I'm not sure-",
"I promise I'll be back as soon as I can" and as she was about to speak her objections, Uta placed a hard kiss against her forehead and ran in between two buildings. He morphed easily into the shadows... Like he belonged there.
⦿
She waited... And waited... And waited, but Uta wasn't coming back. It was clear once Jane checked her phone to see it was already twenty to nine. She was by far, late. Therefore, with that small voice telling her to turn back, she traced Uta's steps down the ally.
The air was crisp with waste and rot which singed at her nose hairs. The stench of rubbish overall had her near to gagging and the whole dim atmosphere had the young human shivering in place. Nothing could compare to the cold chill that danced across her frail form, she felt oh-so out of place yet she kept moving forward anyway. It was against her better judgement and the common sense she believed to possess.
In the distance, she heard the faint cracking of bone and the hungry moans which kicked into her flight or fight response. However, one foot still went in front of another.
Jane's whole body felt like it had a pulse as she turned the ally corner. Layers upon layers of grime and darkness couldn't hide the scene before her.
With his fingers dug into a bloody body's eyes, he licked and bit into the odd pieces of flesh that weren't already devoured. His face was coated in crimson and a sick smile painted his death stained lips. It was sickening, the scene as a whole kept Jane frozen in place. And the silence only made the disgusting sounds heighten against her drumming heart.
The boy she thought to be perfect -despite his appearance- was hunched over a dead body which was stripped of all humane description. Her blood ran cold, her body buzzed with fear... Uta turned with a heart breaking cackle which sent villains running in trauma. He was a monster... He was a ghoul.
