Uta finally ceased the torture which haunted his body. He felt the power flow through his veins and basked in the familiarity of the strength given. His laughter was the only thanks he could give that human God, he was too engrossed in the flesh which filled his stomach. Never did he hear the drop of her school bag or the panting breaths. Instead, he cherished each piece that fed him. Uta was in a frenzy, one that pushed him off the brink of insanity and intoxication. The whole world was distorted and warped into a crimson shade until he turned and her face was distorted with pain.

Fear shook at her frail form as she stood there with her hands attempting to hide him from her sights. However, her fingers couldn't help but pull apart to reveal those wide hazel eyes of horror. Uta was halfway through a finger when he witnessed her before him, with Jane seeing his true form, not the human façade.

He tried to stand and approach her with sanity seeping through his voice. But instead, with every step he took forward, she scrambled back until her back had hit the damp concrete beneath her feet. Jane was held tightly into a ball, unable to scream for help because of who he was.

"Jane..." he called in that alluring tone, making her look up through her shivering arms. She could see the blood dripping down his chin, dropping onto his jacket as he stared down on her... His eyes were black with that distinct red sitting amongst the shadows of his sclera.
"Jane, please...".

She had never heard that voice before. The one of pleading yet she still didn't move. Instead, Jane shuffled further away before finding her balance against a nearby wall.

"Did you think this was funny" she breathed out shakily. However, he only looked to her with soft, confused eyes.

"Did you think this was funny?-" she repeated, "- was it your plan to use me then eat me? Did you fake everything?... I bet you did, a monster doesn't have feelings".

At those words, he no longer wanted to reach out to her trembling body.

"I was so stupid, I should've known" she mumbled.

"I can't help being what I am" he finally spoke up, daring to peek at her light orbs to see nothing but hatred.

"No... You can't. It doesn't make you less disgusting" she spat to suddenly have his fist punch into the wall beside her head. Jane shook at the impact to finally realise his blood ridden body was nearly pressed against her own.

"I should've listened, eaten you when I had the chance",

"Oh yeah?-" she questioned before continuing to goad him, "- then do it. Eat me and your secret is safe, no CCG on your back. You forget about my father and me knowing your identity".

Uta needed to do it. He was so close he could take a bite of her throat, she wouldn't even know what hit her. Yet, something was still holding back as his memories slithered into his thoughts, invading his rational mind.

He saw her smile, heard her laughter and remembered the feel of her body against his as she straddled his hips. It was short lived but never anything less than perfect.

"Leave..." he whispered below her ability of hearing. Causing her to stare up at him in awe. She felt more like she was remembering each feature than taking in a monster. Therefore, he growled and repeated the word louder, like a roar to ward off prey despite their hunger.

The gut wrenching sound had her scrambling for her bag and running home, leaving Uta behind as he tried to finish the meal only to find the disgusting taste lying underneath the meat. He couldn't help but spit it from his mouth before wiping away the evidence of his kill.

"I guess you know now" a familiar voice said before Uta turned to meet him. Yomo was there with a pitiful expression until he pulled Uta into his side. He remained there with his friend with his laboured breaths the only sound engulfing them.

"I did everything right" Uta murmured through the burning behind his eyes.

"It's never enough for those humans",

"But... It should've been enough for her".
