Queen Clumsy: Chapter 15 ~ Why Alec-Freaking-Raux is Scared of Relationships
You know how weekends are usually times for relaxing and such? Well, my weekend was far from relaxing. In fact, I was probably stressed out most of the time. Why? Because 3 words haunted my mind 25/8 (that's how much it took up my mind).
What are we?
Even if Alec repeatedly tells me that we're friends, those words still haunt me.
What are we?
Sure, we're friends, but friends don't kiss each other and take them out on dates. Alec can call that date whatever the hell he wants to, but deep down, it's pretty freaking obvious that it was a date.
For the entire weekend, those words haunted my mind. To cure those words, I tried to call Alec and get an explanation, but either his phone was turned off, or he blocked me because my call kept going to voicemail. I guess after 50 or so tries, I just turned my phone off and placed it away, refusing to pick it up and call him again. I don't want to seem like Sasha.
Since Alec wouldn't pick up his phone for the entire weekend, I stormed into Monday demanding for answers. With my hair pulled back into a ponytail, I charged into the hallway looking for Alec. He avoided me all throughout homeroom and now, during locker break, was the perfect time to drag him.
At least that's what I thought.
As I stormed to Alec's locker, I discovered that he was gone.
"Where is he?" I snap as I approach one of Alec's lacrosse friends (how many sports does he play?!).
"Sorry, dunno what you're talkin' 'bout, sweetheart." The blonde smiles mischievously.
"Raux. She's talking about Raux." A guy that I've never seen before adds as he walks up and pats the back of the blonde (#bromance). From his shirt, I noted that he was another one of Alec's lacrosse friends.
"Oh, so you're talkin' 'bout Raux, aren't ya, sweetheart?" The blonde continues to smile. However, his smile lacked the mischief that it contained earlier.
"Yeah," I turned to the guy who was wearing a lacrosse shirt, "How did you know I was looking for him?"
"You're his girl, aren't you? You're Adrienne, right?" He replies with a confused look.
"Yeah. I mean, I'm Adrienne. I'm not his girl." I respond, my throat going dry at the thought of being Alec's girl. The guy rolls his eyes at my response.
