chapter 35 ~ the weight of the world
ALEC
After Adrienne is out of eyesight, I turn to face Sasha, who was hiding around the corner eavesdropping on the whole conversation.
"There, you happy now?" I sigh, giving Sasha a pointed look.
"Trust me, I was doing you a favor in getting rid of that stupid bitch." She smiles sweetly as if she didn't just ruin my entire relationship with Adrienne.
"She's not a bitch." I mumble.
"So," she tries to say seductively as she places her hand against my arm, "Wanna head to my place?"
"I'm not in the mood tonight." I reply, shaking my arm lightly to try to get her hawk-like claws off of me.
"Are you kidding me, Alec? You're never in the mood! You haven't been in the mood for the past couple of months!" Sasha shouts, stomping her feet so her heels click against the floor.
"So maybe you should take the hint." I retort. Ripping my arm away from Sasha's grip, I turn away and head to the parking lot.

When I got back home, I threw my backpack onto the couch and walked into the kitchen to get a snack. After grabbing an apple and a protein bar, I headed to the living room to do my homework.
Taking a deep breath, I focused my attention on my homework.
Or at least tried.
Every other question I would finish, my mind would wander back to her.
She didn't deserve me.
She's gorgeous. She's unique. She's good.
Me?
I'm bad. Especially for her.
I have a player reputation. I didn't respect girls until her. I don't know how to express my feelings.
