Queen Clumsy: Chapter 9 ~ The Picture in Alec's Room

Let's be honest though, it was pretty fucking obvious that Adrienne and that Kai dude had something going on. I just didn't think I would find out this way.

"What the hell Mia? You weren't supposed to tell him yet!" Adrienne screams in her best friend's face. In a way, it hurt because she didn't want to tell me, but it also made me smile slightly because she said 'yet,'  which meant she was going to. Damn my mind's fucked up.

"I'm sorry! I didn't know!" The look on Mia's face showed that whatever thing Adrienne and Kai had going on mattered a lot.

"Well you didn't have to say it!" Adrienne yells back. Damn, she's hot when she's mad. However, I definitely preferred the sweet, shy Adrienne than the "I'MA CHOP UR BALLZ OFF"  Adrienne. I placed my hand on her shoulders, causing her to face me.

"Calm down." I whisper into her ear. She took a deep breath and faced Mia, my hand still on her shoulder.

"Sorry, Mia. I didn't mean to yell at you. I'm sorry for overreacting." Adrienne apologizes. I squeeze her shoulder a little bit to comfort her.

"It's fine, girl. I should have kept my mouth shut. If you babbled on about how I liked Tyler, I would have shouted in your face, too." Mia reassures Adrienne.

Wait, she likes Tyler?

Tyler as in my best friend?

Well damn.

"Wait, you like Tyler?" I ask Mia.

"Tyler who?" Adrienne asks me while a look of horror flitted across Mia's face before she masked it with confusion.

"Tyler Miller. The guy whose party you went to last Friday." I simply answer, remembering how Adrienne danced with me at that party, and how she kissed me on the cheek after that dance.

"Oh, he's the one who threw that party?" Adrienne asks me.

"Yeah." I respond, confused. She didn't know?

"He and I are just friends." Mia lies. I knew Tyler had a thing for a girl named Mia, but I didn't know this was the Mia he was talking about.

"Cut the bullshit, Mia. I know you two have been hooking up, he's my best friend, remember?" I scoff in disbelief on how clueless she was.

"R-right. Don't tell him I said that. We've specified that it was just 'no strings attached.'" Mia admits nervously.

"Hate to say it, but this 'no strings attached'  thing isn't working out. He likes you too, Mia." I scoff while rolling my eyes. There was no such thing as 'no strings attached.'  They eventually become 'all strings attached.'
