The next day, I rode in the RV to the farm, I had the picture in my bra and the teddy bear in the pocket of my hoodie. The bear was still fairly clean considering the circumstances. We found the farm and we saw a bunch of people picking up rocks. Some cows were wandering in a pasture. Tanner and Mason sat beside me.
"So what does the girl that you guys are looking for look like?" Tanner asked.
"Short dirty blonde hair, freckles, last time I saw her she had a blue shirt with a rainbow on it. I think," I told him.
"I'd be willing to help, but I'd need someone to watch my son."
"There's a boy, his name is Carl, he's at this farm. He got shot, his mother would probably be able to watch him."
"That'd be great," Tanner sighed tiredly. We pulled up and I got out of the RV, Theo right behind me. Some people came out, T-dog. Then someone else walked out.
"Mommy!" A little girl screamed, I looked over an- No way.
"Katie?" I asked, standing there shocked, "Y-What?"
MY DAUGHTER????
She ran to me wrapping her arms around me and I fell to my knees crying.
"Baby!" I cried into her shoulder, she got bit? I backed away from her.
"Hold on, sweetheart," I smiled at her softly. Tears streaming down my face.
"Oh my god, I didn't think that was her!" I heard Glenn and T-dog say.
I turned around and Theo turned extremely pale all the blood drained from his face.
"Were you bit?" I asked Katie, I was glaring at Theo.
"No, why?" She asked holding onto my waist tightly.
"Why weren't you with Theo?" I asked her. Theo looked around and began backing up.
Katie began to cry, "He left me at a gas station... Then O-Otis found me."
"Stay here," I commanded her never breaking my glare at Theo. I stalked towards him, shoving him back.
"You left my daughter you cowardly, ugly, fucking piece of shit!" I screamed pounding my fists into his chest, he fell on the ground. People yanked me back and held onto me tightly. Great, now I'm the abusive one.
"I'll kill you! I'll kill you!" I screamed at him, he was in tears. I hit him hard. My hands and wrist were in pain. They dropped me on the ground and I tried to go after him again. Finally someone had me pinned on the ground, I cried. My daughter was alive. MY DAUGHTER WAS ALIVE.
I could barely breath, I layed on the ground, completely exhausted. Trying to catch my breath, I rolled onto my stomach and cried more. Someone cautiously walked up to me.
"Katie no!" I head a male voice call at her, nobody I recognized.
"Mommy?" I heard Katie cry, "Are you okay?"
I sat up, and cried into my hands.
"This isn't real, this isn't real, this isn't real!" I repeated.
"Mommy?" I heard Katie ask again. Someone sat next to me, it was Katie.
"Baby, I'm sorry," I cried refusing to look at her, I probably looked insane. There was no way my daughter was beside me.
"Mommy, it's okay," She said softly touching my arm.
"Why aren't you afraid of me?" I asked.
"Because Theo deserved it..." She sighed, she's 9 why is she thinking like that? She's always been the one to never hurt a fly.
