Daryl came back later. Everyone packed their stuff into a car just in case. Everything was packed. Carl had become increasingly more protective of Katie, I think it was because of him losing his mother. Daryl was picking dirt out of his nails, I don't think he ever unpacked. Merle was dead. I knew it hurt Daryl, whether he'd admit it or not.

"You all packed up?" He asked.

"Yeah," I sighed. Carl refused to talk to anyone except for Katie. Even with her it was very few words. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't terrified. Katie stood beside me, a gun and knife in her belt. Everyone went where they needed to be. War was nearly here. An hour or so passed before an explosion sounded. The governor was here and he just blew up a guard tower. They were spraying bullets everywhere. The nail trap thing popped their tires. Another tower, blown to bits. We weren't stupid enough to station anyone there. They went inside the prison, flash bangs and biters scared them out.

We sprayed bullets at them, we weren't trying to kill them, just maybe scare them into leaving us alone. Some people fired back, we shot at them too. We'd kill who we had to, but that wasn't the goal. Katie had moved outside the fence with Hershel, Judith, Beth, Mason, and Carl. They were safe.

"We did it!" Maggie yelled cheerfully.  The Governor and his people speeding out of here. We all joined together again.

"We did it, we drove them out," Rick said.

"We should go after them," Michonne said.

"We should finish it," Daryl piped in.

"We did finish it, didn't you see them high tail out of here," Carol said.

"They'll regroup, they'll come back, we should go kill them," I added.

"So what we take the fight back to Woodbury?" Maggie asked, obviously agreeing with Carol.

"Yeah, they're already scared," I stated, the towers were still burning.

"Let's go," Rick commanded. Michonne and Rick got into a car. I got on the back of Daryl's motorcycle. My gun in hand. His crossbow across my back. I was surprised he trusted his baby in my hands. He protected it like a first born child. Everyone else was staying behind.

"I don't know why ya keep comin to these things," Dayrl stated.

"What?" I asked.

"Don't you worry bout dyin? Leavin the kid?" He asked.

"The sooner I am able to help eliminate any threat to her, the safer she will be," I stated, "Plus I trust the people staying here."

He nodded. We took off. I held onto Daryl as he sped down the road. Soon enough we came across the trucks of the Governor's people. Bodies lay everywhere.

"The hell?" Daryl muttered as we got off his bike, I handed him the crossbow, Rick and Michonne got out of the truck they brought. Some walkers were eating the bodies, Michonne took 2 out, Daryl shot the other one with his crossbow. I stood beside one of the trucks. Everyone was looking around in confusion. Someone slammed on the truck behind me. I gasped and jumped back, tripping over a dead body. Daryl jumped in front of me, his crossbow aimed at the truck. A woman was inside, she looked horrified. My breathing began to slow, but my heart was still racing. The woman's hands were on the window, showing she was unarmed. I stood up, and then stayed beside Michonne.

He opened the door and she jumped out with her hands raised.

"Sorry for scaring you," She muttered to me. She told us what happened, the Governor shooting all his people. Then she came with us to Woodbury. We all went towards it, gun raised. An old vase shattered beside me. It had been shot, We all hid behind the car the was parked in front. Then sprayed bullets at the wall. When we stopped, the woman jumped up.
