Andrea and Carol talked for about a minute. I waited.
"It's the not knowing part that worries me.... I just keep hoping and praying she doesn't end up like Katie or Amy," Carol said quickly. I glared at her. The whole group knew her name, most asked, I answered.
"That's the worst thing I could've said," Carol said sadly.
"We're all hoping and praying with you, for what it's worth," Andrea said sweetly.
"I'll tell ya what it's worth," Daryl started, "Not a damn thing, it's a waste of time all this hopin and prayin. Cause we're gonna locate that little girl and she's gonna be fine."
It was silent for a moment, then Daryl spoke again.
"Am I the only one zen around here? Good Lord."
We began walking again. Theo grabbed my hand.
"We should talk," He said softly, I pulled my hand from his.
"Leave me alone," I replied. He growled slightly in irritation.

It was gonna be dark soon, we heard a coyote howl.
"We'll be outta light before too long," Daryl stated.

We were close to the highway, according to Daryl less than 100 yards. We were all tired, I had my throwing knife out in case a walker popped out. We hadn't see any so that was good. Andrea screamed, I spoke too soon.
"Andrea?" I called out, come on she was right by us a minute ago.... Andrea was still screaming so I ran in her direction. I was about to throw my knife, but if I missed Iwould've hit Andrea because it was on top of her. She was on the ground. I ran to get closer, but some lady on a horse came by and whacked it first. I held my knife up to throw it at her just in case she was bad.
"Lori? Lori Grimes?" The lady on the horse asked as the rest of the group caught up.
"I'm Lori!" Lori stated looking confused.
"Rick sent me, you gotta come now," The woman on the horse said, she had short brown hair.
"What?" Lori asked.
"There's been an accident, Carl's been shot!" The woman said quickly but calmly, "He's still alive, but you need to come now. Rick needs you!"
Lori took off her bag and went to jump onto the horse.
"Whoa we don't know this girl!" Daryl and I yelled at the same time.
"Rick said you got others on the highway? The big traffic snarl?"
"Yeah," Glenn said staring wide-eyed at the girl. She gave us directions to a farmhouse and took off with Lori.
"Well, that happened," I stated. The walker that the girl hit started sitting up and wheezing.
"Shut up," Daryl snapped shooting it with the crossbow. I grabbed the arrow as they all started walking away. I caught up with him and handed it to him, he nodded and put it with the rest of his arrows.

We got back to the highway, Daryl explained what happened. It was dusk and getting very dark. I grabbed my hoodie from Daryl's bike.
"Ya can leave the rest of yer stuff in there, it ain't gon' hurt nothin'," He told me.
"You sure?"
"Yeah, go ahead."
I slept in the same car I slept in the night before. I woke up to knocking on the window. I opened my eyes and was blinded by the sunlight. It was Daryl, I got out and Theo stood glaring at us. I hate that man...
