"Everyone," Maggie announced, "This is Aaron."
Daryl speedwalked outside, scanning for others.
"We met him outside, he's by himself. We took his weapons and we took his gear," Maggie added as Daryl checked him anyways. Judith began to cry, Rick handed her to me. I'm like the main babysitter now since Tyreese passed away. I missed Ty..... I missed a lot of people...
"Hi," Aaron said nervously. I bounced slightly, trying to quiet Judith down.
"It's nice to meet you," Aaron said stepping forward, multiple people in the group moved towards him in an intimidating way. Aaron stopped moving. Calculating his moves. Maggie gave Rick his weapon.
"There something you need?" Rick asked him.
"He has a camp, nearby," Sasha started, she didn't seem completely sure with the idea, "He wants us to audition for membership."
"I wish there was another word, audition makes it sound like we're some dance troupe. That's only on friday nights," He joked slightly still nervous. His hands were still held up. No one laughed. He shrugged.
"It's not a camp, it's a community. I think you would all make valuable additions," Aaron continued, "But it's not my call. My job is to convince you all to follow me back home."
We all stood in silence.
"I know, if I were you I wouldn't go either, not unless I knew exatly what I was getting myself into," Aaron said sounding like a salesman. That's probably what he was before the turn. If not he definitely could've been. Aaron asked Sasha to give Rick his pack. He explained the pictures that were in the envelope.
"I apologize in advance for the quality. We just found a camera store last-"
"Nobody gives a shit," Daryl cut him off. Aaron paused for a moment before he continued describing the pictures and the community. To shorten it up a bit, they had a huge ass wall, surrounding a nice town, full of wonderful people. As Aaron described their giant ass wall. Rick stood. Stalking towards him.
"Rick, maybe we should jus-" I started before Rick punched the guy, knocking him unconscious. "Let him finish..." I mumbled to myself.
Michonne and I walked up to Rick.
"This seems like an okay guy. He didn't look like he was about to att-" Michonne started.
"Restrain him, dump his pack. Let's see who this guy really is," Rick commanded.
"Rick, what are you doing? He might be a decent guy," I stated.
"Maybe, maybe not," He replied. Michonne and I looked at each other, shaking our heads.
"We need eyes in every direction, they're coming for us. We may not know how, we may not know when, but they are," Rick continued commanding.
"This seems like an awful lot of effort to just kill us off," Michonne argued. Aaron woke up a moment later, smiling.
"Helluva right cross there Rick," He said laughing slightly. Rick continued questioning Aaron. He looked hopeless.
Judith cried out again, I walked away from them all. Trying to calm her. When she was calm I walked back over to the group.
"How long you people been following us?" Daryl demanded.
"Long enough to see that you practically ignore a pack of roamers on your trail. Long enough to see that despite the lack of food and water you never turned on each other. You're survivors and you're people," Aaron answered in an inspiring way. Daryl looked over to me for a moment, like he was debating something. I tilted my head slightly and then he looked away.
