Rick sobbed, the baby slowly became quieter, I held onto her. Using the top of the blanket to clean some of the blood off of her face.
Multiple people were crying. I didn't feel anything, shocked maybe, but it hadn't quite processed that Lori was dead yet. I couldn't quite process that T-dog was dead either.
Rick fell onto the ground, sobbing.
"Let me see the baby," Hershel told me, I brought it over to him.
Daryl tried talking to Rick, but Rick zoned out. He was quiet and unresponsive.
"We got anything a baby can eat?" Daryl asked.
"The good news is, the baby looks healthy," Hershel stated.
"She needs to eat, very soon," I said.
"Yes she does," Hershel said thoughtfully, "We'll need formula, or she won't survive."
"Nope, no way, I ain't lettin nobody else die," Daryl stated.
"Beth, kid just lost his mom, kid ain't doin to hot," Daryl said quietly to her.
"I'll look after them," Beth said.
"I'm goin' on a run," Daryl stated, Beth took the baby from me.
"I'll go with you," I stated.
Rick picked up an axe and left into the building.
"The rest of you start stabbing at the fence, too many pile up and we got ourselves an issue," Daryl commanded.
"Katie, Hershel, Mason, you guys set up a nursery or somethin for her," Daryl said.
"Let's go Bella," He said softly.
"I love you," I said to Katie quickly.
"I love you too, go!" She called back, Daryl and I ran for the cars.
Maggie and Glenn were explaining where to go before they opened the gate for us to leave.
"The only place that hasn't been completely looted of baby stuff might be the shopping center north of here. There's so much debris a car will never get through," Maggie stated.
"Alright, I got a bike," Daryl stated, "Open the gate, we'll be back."
Maggie gave me a back pack and I quickly pulled it onto my shoulders.
"Hang on tight," Daryl commanded me.
I got on the back of Daryl's bike and wrapped my arms around him. He felt tense, not that I was surprised. The baby couldn't die. They opened the gate and we sped through.

We rode up to the place.
"Stay close, there's gonna be walkers," Daryl stated.
"I know," I told him.
"Earlier when I offered you help with the firewood, I wasn't implying that you were weak. I know you ain't. Yer onea the strongest people I know. I just wanted to let ya know that I wasn't insulting ya," He told me.
We headed into the place, Daryl broke a window to get in. So much for staying quiet. We climbed in, there were cribs. And paper hand prints with names on the wall. The name Katie was on there in a purple hand. It wasn't my Katie, but I silently hoped that whoever she was, was alive and well. There was also a Sophia, that made a pang of guilt hit my insides. That poor, poor girl.
I opened a cupboard and starting shoving bottles, diapers, small towels, wipes, etc into the bag. Formula wasn't in here, we'd have to find the kitchen. We came into the hall slowly, Daryl had his crossbow aimed into the dark. He had the flashlight in his mouth. I still didn't have a flashlight. We heard scratching coming from the kitchen. In one of Daryl's hands he held a toy. He nodded his head and we went in quietly.
