The next day came around, Daryl and I hadn't spoken a word to each other, Katie hadn't talked to him either. We were fortifying the church a bit. Sasha was breaking pews. Daryl carried huge metal pipes.
"Are you going to take down the cross too?" Gabriel asked in distress.
"If we need it," I shrugged. Katie and I worked together on boarding up the windows.
"Are you mad at Daryl?" Katie asked.
"I don't know," I answered.
"Should I be mad at him?" She asked.
I laughed slightly, "I'm not going to tell you how to feel."
"It'd make emotions easier though," She giggled. When Daryl came back yesterday, he brought back a young guy. He was a kid, but he was older than Carl. His name was Noah, he had a messed up leg, and he wanted to go to Atlanta. Just as we finished boarding up the last window Katie spoke.
"He shouldn't have left like that, he could've been killed," Katie said.
"It was his choice," I replied.

We were heading out to go rescue Carol and Beth. Noah came from the place that kidnapped them, he was kidnapped too. Beth helped him escape. The kids were staying behind. As was Michonne, Tanner, and Gabriel.
We were sitting in the back of a moving truck. Rick was driving, Noah was in the passenger seat, the rest of us were in the back.
"I didn't mean to leave for so long," Daryl said quietly to me. I was sitting in the corner, he sat beside me.
"It's okay," I said softly, I was mad before, but I understand why he was gone for so long. The only thing I didn't understand was why he followed Carol out there in the first place. So I asked.
"Tanner asked me to talk to her, she's been more distant and wouldn't tell him what was going on," He answered.
"Oh," Was all I responded with.
"Are ya still mad?" He asked, I shook my head no.
"How's Katie?" He asked.
"I think she's kind of mad at you," I answered.
"I know, I tried talking to her earlier," He replied.
"She'll come around."
"I hope so, I don't know how to deal with kids," He sighed.
I laughed.
"What's so funny?" He asked half smiling, he was confused.
"You're thinking way too much about it."
"Well I don't wan' 'er to hate me."
"She doesn't hate you, she's just mad at you, there's a difference."
"I have no idea what I'm doin'," He laughed slightly wiping his hands down his face, "I'm being intimidated by a 13 year old."
I laughed again.

When we got there, Rick explained the plan. We were going to fire a shot to get patrols out and when it was dark enough we'd move in. Then we spread out with knives and silenced weapons. We had to be fast.
"I got Dawn," Rick stated, she was the head lady, "Sasha, Tyreese you take these people."
Rick was drawing on the ground of the building.
"Daryl and Bella," You guys take care of whoever is in the kitchen."
"Hopefully by then they'll be smart enough to give up. It'll be 5 on 3, 6 on 3 once we get a weapon to Beth," Rick explained.
