Six days later, I was doing Chemistry homework when I got a text from you.

What are you doing right now?

Chemistry, why?

Is there any chance you can meet me at the park down the street?

... Should I be scared?

No. But you should bring a jacket. It's kind of cold.

Okay, I'll be there soon.

Good. I miss you.

When I read your last message, a huge smile made its way onto my face. I grabbed a hoodie and walked out the door, turning left and making my way to the park.

Just like you said, it was kind of cold outside so while I walked towards the park, I slid the pastel orange sweatshirt I had brought with me over my head. When I had it on all the way, I could see you sitting on the merry-go-round. I smiled at the side of you, and I wanted to run the rest of the way there. But I didn't I just waved and picked my pace up slightly.

After what seemed like the longest time, I finally sat down next to you. "What's up?"

"What do you mean?"

I laughed. "I mean, why did you want me to meet you here?"

"Because," you shrugged, "I missed you."

"Awwe, you're adorable." I giggled and your cheeks turned red.

"Shut up," you mumbled, shoving me slightly.

"It was. But it wasn't the real reason. Tell me that one."

You crossed your arms and kept your eyes trained on the ground. "I'm scared to."

I busted out laughing. "We've been in this situation before, remember? I'm not the easiest to scare away."

"Okay, fine. But look, it's just a warning." I nodded, waiting for you to continue. "I just think you should know that I fall in love really easy." You paused when you saw me freeze, my jaw opened. "No! I don't mean I'm in love with you, I just thought you should know that I fall in love really easy. It doesn't take me long before I give you my heart, okay? So if you're just going to break it, then I don't see the point in doing this whole thing."

You got quiet, so I took that as a sign for me to speak. "Hey," I whispered, "I don't plan on breaking your heart. I'll let you in on something, okay? If I don't see the relationship going somewhere, I won't take part in it. If I date you, then I don't plan on it ending unless you do something really stupid or we grow apart. You're too clingy for that, though. So we're good."

You snorted, but smiled nonetheless, finding comfort in my words. "Promise you aren't going to leave me just because?"

"I promise. I meant it when I said that I wouldn't date you unless I could picture us with a future. That's why you're my first boyfriend."

I heard your sharp intake of breath? "The first?"

"Yeah. I mean, I kissed one other guy, but that was because I was playing truth or dare with my friends. It hardly counts, mainly because it was my best friend. He was like a brother to me and I was dared to kiss him. It was gross." I shuddered and you laughed.

We were quiet for a while before you spoke again. I don't think I was supposed to hear because you said it so quiet.

"What is it about you?"
