Hunk

Hunks eyes widened as Pidge expkained what she saw,"wait,what!?" Hunk gasped. Pidge nodded,"Lance is actually a genius!"

That explains a lot actually. Lance always got thesame scores,the same grades,as if he did it on pupose. He always seemedso secretive too,ge bever let anyobe see his notebook. But the real question still was unanswered...why?

Why would Lance hide such a gift from them? He was so gifted with his intellegence,he shouod be proud of it!

Hunk and Pidge quickly went home,deciding that they were going to talk to Lance the next day at school.

Lance

Lance sighed,he gad taken off his makeup. Revealing his many freckles tgat dotred his nose and cheeks. He walked out of the small bathroom and down the hall to his room.

It wasnt much,just a small bed,blue walls,a desk with a lamp,a closet and a dresser. On one side of the room was a window that faced the front yard.

He closed his curtains before walking over to his bed and flopping onto it. Lance stared at the ceiling. He wanted so badly to come clean and tell his friends the truth. But he couldnt just do that.

No,he had to keep his mask on. He gatehatedd his freckles,so he hid them,he was a nerd,so he hid that too. Honestly,Lance Mclain was nothing,a loser in Lances eyes.

Lance had to fit in ,so he wouldnt be beat up. So he wouldnt be bullied. He's already gone through that,he didnt need to again.

With that thought,he fell asleep.

Lance awoke to a screaming alarm,he slapped it till it fell off the nightstand and hit the floor. It unplugged and the screaming came to a stop.

With a tired groan,Lance rolled out of his soft warm bed. He grabbed some clothes and sauntered off to take a shower.

Lance got dressed and put on his makeup,covering his freckles and drying his dark brown hair. Walking downstairs,he was met with chaos. His siblings were either running around,talking or arguing. The table was a mess of jumbled plates of food and children sitting in the seats.

Lance chuckled to himself,sitting at the table. His 5 year old sister,Sophi,walked up to Lance "Lan! Lan!" She tugged on his oants. "Yes Sophi?" Lance asked. Sophi made a adorable determined face and said "hold me!!"

Lance laughed "Okay,okay. Come here" Lance picked up the wiggling 5 year old.

"Yay!" Sophi sat in his lap,taking a peice of bacon and happily munching on it.

Lance ate a few as well as eating his pancake. He looked at the time"hey,Sophi,i gotta go to school but I promise I'll play with you later okay?"

Sophi nodded "otay bubby!"

Lance ruffled her hair,said goidbye to the rest of the family and left. He waited at the bus stop for Pidge andHunk,who came moments later. "Lance! We have to talk!" Pidge immeadatly said. "Okay then,what is it?"

"We know your secret!" Pidge said. Lance paled "w-what?"

"We know...." Hunk sighed,"we know that you are a genius. But Lance,buddy,thats amazing! Your gifted!"

"No...im really not......" Lance mumbled. Pidge and Hunk looked confused"what do you mean?" Hunk asked in concern.

"There cant be 3 smart ones in the group! Besides,Im a freak! If i reveal my intellegence It'll happen again!!" Lance almost yelled.

"What? What'll happen?" Pudge asked. Lance stuttered,"I-Its not important!" The bus pulled up and he hurried onto it.
