"Mum? Are you there? Hello?" I let out a big sigh as the line cuts off. I shake my head before locking my phone and chucking it on my bed.

"Quick phone call." Calum comments making me jump. I turn to see him leaning on my door.

"Yeah the line went dead, I really don't understand how my mother can be so awful with technology." I lightly laugh.

This was the first line of contact I had had with either of my parents in weeks. At the beginning of this year they finally set out on trip that they had been planning pretty much since I was in nappies. They always planned to see the world once my older brother and myself were able to fend for ourselves. Now that we were both adults and no longer living at home they had finally gotten around to it.

The only unfortunate thing about it was that my dad was so old school that he practically refused to change with the times so they left my mum to try communicate with me and well she wasn't the best with technology.

"I'm sure she will get better." Calum shrugs. "Where are they?" Calum asks coming in to my room and flopping on to my bed.

"They were at the airport getting ready to go see Bobby." I tell him with a smile. Bobby was my older brother, we were extremely close but I didn't get to see him often because he lived in New York with his wife. Currently I was the only Scott actually in Sydney.

"Good old big apple." Calum grins.

"Yeah." I lightly sigh. "Has Ashton called you yet?" I ask changing the subject.

"No not yet but I'm going to take that as a good sign." Calum chuckles.

Ashton had finally arranged his date with Emma tonight. It would be an understatement to say I was excited to see how it went.

"Hopefully!" I smile. "Alright Hood come help me." I lightly hit his knee as I walk pass my bed and out my bedroom door.

"Whyyy?!" I hear Calum whine.

"Just get your butt in here." I yell to him walking in the kitchen. I hear him let out a very over dramatic groan which makes me roll my eyes.

"I don't understand why i should help you." Calum says as he enters the kitchen, he then opens one of the cupboards and begins grabbing ingredients out.

"Are you kidding? I help you every time you cook something that isn't spag bowl."

"Yeah but you're actually a good cook." Calum grins at me and I narrow my eyes at him.

"That isn't a valid excuse." I tell him going over to the fridge and grabbing the meatball mixture I had made earlier.

"I think it is." Calum adds shutting the cupboard and dropping the ingredients he had collected on the bench.

"Will you just start the pasta?" I ask shaking my head at him with a small smile. Calum sighs but then does what I ask.

I quickly wash my hands before starting to turn the meatball mixture into proper meatballs. Calum comes and stands beside me once he's put the water on for the pasta and looks awfully pleased with himself.

"What?" I ask him.

"You know Genie.." Calum moves closer to me. "You haven't really been showing off my masterpieces." Calum smirks at me as he brings his hand up and moves my hair off my shoulder so that his three love bites were on proud display.

"I haven't had the chance to." I sarcastically reply. Luckily enough for me the boys didn't stay too long on Monday and I managed to hide the love bites with my hair and yesterday was pretty windy so I had the perfect chance to wear a scarf.
