Leilani's POV
(1 week later)

So, Kobe and Xavier has been living with my family for the past week.

My mom still doesn't know the truth and I don't think Kobe is gonna tell her. He snuck back home and packed all his and his brothers stuff.

Xavier stays with me while Kobe sleeps in Alex's room.

Today is Monday. So right now I'm eating breakfast with the fam.

"Lani you smell good" Xavier tells me.
I smile to myself and hug him.

"Thank you muffin. You smell good too." I tell him.

"Thank you. Alex gave me some perfume" he says with a big smile.

"If it's for boys it's called cologne okay." I tell him. He nods and I laugh a little.

"Lani take this to your brothers." My mom says as she hands me two twenty dollar bills. I nod my head and take them and run up the stairs.

"KJ let me in!" I say to my brothers as I knock on their door.

"It's open lei lei" I hear Kaden say. I walk in and they are both messing with their hair.

"Mommy told me to give this to y'all" I say handing them each twenty bucks.

"Yah yah!" Jaden says. I laugh at him and Kaden thanks me.

"See y'all later" I tell them as I was towards the door.

"Tell your boyfriend we said bye" Kaden says to me. Jaden glares at him and he laughs.

See, Jaden is like the oldest so he kind of acts like a dad. Ever since my dad....never mind. But Jaden is like the man of the house now. So he is strict on boys that hang around me, just like my dad was.

"Bye guys" I tell them as I close their door back.

"You ready?" Kobe asks me. I nod my head and grab my book bag.

Me, him and Xavier walk outside to Xavier's bus stop.

"Bye Lani, Bye Kobe" Xavier says when his bus pulls us. He gave us both hugs and then he skipped off to the bus.

I smiled at how happy he is. He's like a little bundle of joy.

"Come on" Kobe says as he puts his arm around my shoulder and we walk to our bus stop.

Once we reach there the bus was already pulling up.

The ride to the bus consisted of me talking Kobe's ear off like usual. I missed this. I can't believe he didn't talk to me for three months.

Later in the day, right before fourth period I went to my locker.

"Lani, you gotta talk some sense into Luke." Tony told me while I was getting things out of my locker. Tony is one of Luke's friends. We got close when I was dating Luke.

"Why, what's wrong?" I ask him as I close my locker. He sighs and starts to pull me somewhere. I'm guessing to where to where Luke was.
