Kobe's POV"Come take a picture." Leilani says to me. I roll my eyes and she laughs.
I scoot over to her and take a picture."How did you want ice cream, but I got way more than you?" Leilani asked looking at the picture.
"Because you kept putting more on your cone." I tell her. She laughs and nods her head.
"Because I kept on thinking." She says as she gets up.
She walks over to the freezer and puts the ice cream back."About?" I ask. I'm curious.
"Stupid stuff. It's nothing really." She says as she sits back by me.
I raised an eyebrow at her."About Chris." She says. Chris? Who is that?
"Who's that?" I ask her.
She sighs."My brother. He got killed in a car accident." She says lowly.
Damn."I'm sorry." I tell her.
"Thanks. I was just thinking about how he was here one minute and gone the next. Just like your mom. I was thinking about ways we are alike, and then that one came to mind. We both lose people we loved." She says.
I guess she's right.
I was heartbroken when my dad kicked my mom out, and when I found her, I was the happiest boy on earth. Then my dad killed her. So yeah, we do connect.Just thinking about what happened made me get in my feelings.
I sniffed away the tears and I saw Leilani wiping her eyes."I hate crying." I say to her. She chuckles and faced me.
"When I said that I talked to my brother about how I was feeling, I was talking about Chris. Then when he died, Alex became the brother I told everything too. I only talked about how much I missed Chris with him. Nobody else." She tells me.
"Well I guess I need a sister I can talk to." I tell her. She laughs.
"I'll call James Charles for you." She said with a smirk. I'm so confused.
"Never mind. I'll be the sister you talk to." She says happily. I nod my head and smile.
"K lil sis." I say messing with her.
She rolls her eyes."Never mind." She says getting off he stool and walking into the living room.
"Umm sister?" I yell after her. I hear her laugh from the living room.
I get up from the stool and walk in to see her cross cross on the couch watching something on tv.
